Opera Mobile question...

I have my opera mobile set to view pages as a desktop, however myspace and a couple of other sites still redirect me to their mobile version....I tried putting in the "no mobile" link for myspace but to no avail?

so until I can get skyfire with WVGA support can anyone tell me a way around this?

Re: Opera Mobile question...

I don't use myspace, but when I start Opera and google myspace I get the myspace mobile signon page, but there is a section that asks if I want to see the full site like on a PC...when I click yes I get the page your looking for...like on a PC!

Hope that helps

What I have done to get around this is:

* went to a PC, looked up a full myspace page I wanted to see.
* went to FILE in the top left corner and sent the page as a link to my phone.
* when it came I opened it up and clicked on the live like.
* myspace rendered in the full version.
* saved it as a book mark.
* done.

I also tried copying the exact myspace address that I saw on my pc to the Opera browser. it worked as well. I had this problem with ESPN at first too. Hope this helps.

Re: Opera Mobile question...

When I go to a page that has a lot of pictures Opera will show 75% of them the rest will be blank boxes. Is there some cache adjustment that I need to make outside of the one in the drop down settings? Or do I need to do something in opera:config mode? I should be able to render full pages. It (usually) works in Skyfire but not in Opera. Any suggestions?

Are you going into the Opera settings-->Advanced--> and "Identify as 'desktop computer?'"

Uhh...This is an old issue that was solved when Skyfire released the Omnia compatible browser...I'm not sure who "revived" this thread but thanks for the input...!

It was me. I know this was solved. I just decided to add another question in regards to Opera instead of starting a new thread. Having a problem with Opera rendering all pictures on a page (see above). Have not found an answer in another thread yet. Just FYI.
