Visual Voicemail ?

According to this link:
http://products.vzw.com/fnd_toolsapp...&appId=3109611

The Omnia will have visual voicemail capability for $3/mo.
Can anyone confirm this? Anyway to extract the CAB or the files?

Thanks!

Here is a pretty handy software that I ran into. I think you have to subscribe as well.

I should be getting an Omnia by Thursday. I hope to attempt to extract the files and install on TP... If anyone is familiar with this process and would like to help or test this, please PM me.

The touch pro didn't come with that program installed on it, or did it? Or did you happen to extact the cab and just install it.

It shows on the vzw website, if you compare, say, the omnia, TP and 6800, the Omnia and TP show they support for VVM where as the 6800 doesn't

Visual Voice Mail kinda works...it isn't like you would think (like the iPhone). Its is an application that has to start up, taking 5-12 seconds, then (at least in my experience) you have to listen to your Voicemail through the loudspeaker...you cannot listen to it through the built in phone speaker (the normal one). VVM kept telling me to turn the volume up even though it was all the way up. Seems badly designed and a poor attempt at mimicing great design by the iPhone team.

Let's please ensure that this is a discussion related to the Omnia...not the Touch Pro.

Thanks,
Coz

Brad

you can listen to visual voicemaill through the built in phone speaker
while in VVM
hit menu (right soft key)>options>use earpiece (if currently set to speaker) or speaker (if currently set to earpiece)
