Software collection! UPDATED Feb11/10

10 Attachment(s)
Everything here has been tested on my Omnia2 and works great, enjoy!!!:salute:

The only one that really needs an explination would be "DisableCameraSound.cab"
This will disable shutter sound 3, so simply set your phone to 3 to turn off sound
:headbang:

The rest are just programs Ive come across that are great and Ill continue to upload more as I come across them:rr:

Remember, it take 20min to upload, 2 min to download, and just 2 seconds to say thank you!!!!!!:occasion5:

This is probably one of my favorite apps so far for the Omnia2 If your like me then sometimes its hard to find what you want in the settings menu :S This will over right the settings menu with a new and improved version!! Same look and feel as the old but kinda spread out so it's a lot easier to find what you want!!!!!!

Just extract on your desktop and enjoy!! :D

i920? explanation of each please? Thanks in advance

Re: Software collection!!

yes these will work for you I920 and other than express442HR.CAB and SSkin_YellowMan.cab they are all pretty self explanitory. The first is Bell's version of like bing or windows live search, the second is a screen lock program like s2u2 but there's a funny little guy instead of a slider. They are both great programs, try them out! I'm spending my time finding these programs and game to bring more attention to the Omnia2 so more stuff will keep coming out like new ROM's and such.

Enjoy!:occasion5:

Thank you for the uploads, you may also want to list which programs may need .net 3.5 framework installed or not.
Thank you.:occasion5:

I would but usually the fisrt thing you should insatll on your phone is .net 3.5 before you do anything.

Not many people know that right off the bat. I know because I have been using PDA's for years. :occasion5:

All you need to do is follow the instructions when you open the program. Its telling you to move the phone in like a figure 8 motion upside down and back up, this is to callibrate it, the only trick is you need to do it fast! The easy way I use is hit "skip" let the compass start up then do that same motion for like 2 sec and it will work fine :)

Hope that helps!!!!:occasion5:

Nice one Jaytuu ! I installed network 3.5 cab & did like you said - I was trying to do a figure 8 horizontally too slowly I guess. When I did it quick & upside down - I felt the phone vibrate & now it`s working fine - My dogs are lookin at me like I`m a crazy man as probably what you are thinkin . Much appreciated - I can now find my way to work LOL !!:notworthy:

Do you have anything for voice dialing or voice recognition? Seems to be missing from Bell Omnia 2?
Also I can't find any option to answer calls with a text message.
See screen shot and review from
pocketnow. com/review/samsung-omnia-ii-i8000?p=2

"While the call is coming in, you can quickly select from a list of text messages to send someone."

Enabling NetCompactFramework 3.5
  • Open any registry editor, go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework
    change 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0
    then change 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1
wait 30 secs then soft reset
Not sure, but from this it sounds like 3.5 may be installed on WM6.5 already and it is just a matter of enabling it?

You know the best place to look is 1800pocketpc.com or freewarepocketpc.net they both have pages just on themes then you could find the one you like instead of me putting up a bunch and you only like 1 or 2 of them :S check it out!

In the mean time try this out see what you think, basically you can pick what ever colors for your phone you want

And in some stock 6.5 ROMS you have to enable it in the registry:

.Net Framework 3.5 tweak for wm 6.5 roms

after 3.5 insatalld it doesnt seem to become active in the 6.5 rom.
in the registry it will show off and you have to manually turn it on.

heres how.. reg editor needed...(i use ce reg editor because it is
installed on my comp and not my phone not taking up ram)

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework
change 2.0.7045.00 from 1 to 0
change 3.5.7283.00 from 0 to 1
wait appx 30 sec... then just soft reset the phone

hope it helps props to modaco peeps for confirmation...and www.samsung-omnia.org

I am so confused about how to upload the program to my i920. I have tried everything I know from downloading the zip, opening and executing the file. Un zipping on the desktop and then downloading it to my phone.

bottom line. I am not doing it correctly and I have searched for how to use what methods with what files and have found no reference..... Can you please help me.
