Re: Need advice on Home products
Check out GDE. Haven't tried it (costs a few bucks) - but certainly looks sweet.

Re: Need advice on Home products
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried GDE and here are my thoughts:
- Liked the softkey buttons. Reminded me of Windows Mobile. - I didn't like any of the scrolling options. None of them were as smooth as the standard Vanilla slider. - I liked the ability to have multiple (more than 3) desktops. - Randomly widgets would not work unless I rebooted the device. The Google Search Widget never worked. - This was the deal-breaker: It took several clicks, sometimes different clicks depending on the menu, just to get to my Applications Menu. This was so frustrating that I simply uninstalled the app for a refund. If I could have mapped one of the Softkeys to display the Applications menu I would have kept the software. Why the developer didn't include this option I will never know. The only feature that was worth much was the extra desktops and frankly I can use Folders on the Vanilla to store extra icons. Still searching, GDE wasn't for me. Richard |
