Thanks ppl. I've tried installing them from astro but that failed. I believe there was a miss in my installation. I didn't install any recovery with the update. My phone or sd isn't rooted. I'm at a dead end. Which is the easiest solution for anyone in my situation?

1. Redo the update with joeykrim recovery?
2. Gain root of the sd card?

Finally, am I stuck because my phone isn't rooted?

Where can I obtain recovery 3.0? And does my phone need to be rooted for this?

Dude I feel bro ever since this new 2.1 update came out there is all this stuff to do but can't get to to work bc there's no directions at all. I guess that being said idk maybe bc its new just came out idk but u figure people that post attachments would givve a lil explaining on it but I guess I'm a android noobie too lol

INSTALL DE03

1: Download http://dl.dropbox.com/u/111413/Momen...DE03_REL_1.tar and place it into the "C:\Program Files\Samsung Electronics\SWUpgrade\Models\Binary" folder for your CL14 Upgrader from Sprint.

2: Flash using the CL14 Upgrader "SWUpgrade" - VolDown+Camera+End

3: Reboot, let the phone do it's thing normally till it looks like it is all loaded up.

INSTALL RECOVERY 3.0.8

4: Remove the SPH-M900_MR2_DE03_REL_1.tar file from the "Binary" folder in Step one.

5: Download http://dl.dropbox.com/u/111413/Momen...overy3_0_8.tar and place it into the "C:\Program Files\Samsung Electronics\SWUpgrade\Models\Binary" folder for your CL14 Upgrader from Sprint.

6: Flash the Recovery tar using the CL14 Upgrader "SWUpgrade" - VolDown+Camera+End

7: Reboot, let the phone do it's thing normally till it looks like it is all loaded up.

INSTALL ROOT V7

8: Mount the phone in USB mode so you can copy files to the flash card.

9: Download and copy http://dl.dropbox.com/u/111413/Momen....1-root-v7.zip to the root of the SDCard

10: Reboot the phone into Recovery - VolDown - Talk - End

11: Select "Apply Update Zip", Select joeykrim-SDX-a2.1-root-v7.zip and press HOME

12: Reboot, let the phone do it's thing normally till it looks like it is all loaded up.

INSTALL CUSTOM ITEMS/REMOVE STOCK APPS

13: Mount the phone in USB mode so you can copy files to the flash card.

14: Download and copy http://dl.dropbox.com/u/111413/Momen...SDX-update.zip to the root of the SDCard, or Generate your own custom script here - http://www.joeyconway.com/sdx/custom/index.php

15: Reboot the phone into Recovery - VolDown - Talk - End

ok iv'e got it!! for my fellow ppl who dont have the live wallpapers + 3D gallery here we go.

FIRST. there are 2 different update programs, but u need this one. http://randomtechinfo.com/Moment/Sam...pdate-CL14.exe

SECOND. if you have already installed the Updater, uninstall it from your computer before installing the CL14, because if u dont, the program will have problems installing the drivers and u will get dead-ended.

THIRD. Install your CL14 Updater.

FOURTH. swap out the .tar file found in the Binary folder with this file....

now download a custom rom of choice and add it to your memory card, there are several to download from www.sdx-developers.com , just read carefully to understand what ur options are.(i have http://www.sdx-developers.com/sdx/ca...-2-1-dd10-rom/ because it is one that includes the 3D pic gallery)

once this is all done, install the update to your phone using the CL14 Updater.

after the update, your phone will reboot.

turn your phone off and go into recovery mode by HOLDING THE VOLUME DOWN+TALK+END buttons(u are able to go into this recovery mode because you've swapped out the .tar file)

you will be able to gain access to your sd card and install the custom rom of choice there.

once u have installed the rom, it will ask u to press HOME to confirm. do so, and u are done. :)

ok i already have 2.1..i installed it on the sprint website..do i still have to download cl14?

yes, uninstall your current SWUpgrader and install the CL14 upgrader.

what does the swupgrader have to do with cl14? im not even using the swupgrader for anything..im just dragin the apk file to the storage card..is that wrong?
