Any tips for the lag?
 

I got the hero but my wife just got the moment. My hero is rooted which made it amazingly fast, but her moment god i can't stand to help her with it. It irratates me so bad about the lag it is having, when she types it takes 2 or 3 seconds to catch up. Is rooting the moment a big difference in performance? Any other suggestions?

my brother was pissed with his moment after playing with my rooted, themed, and tweaked moment. it's night and day

Interesting.. I picked up two of these. One for me and one for my son. Mine is rooted, but my sons is stock and is very quick. Maybe yours is defective? Maybe a piece of additional software is causing the slowdown?

I don't see any lag when using the keyboard. I'm on stock, not rooted. I came from an HTC Touch Pro and that thing had major lag. The moment, not so much. Are you using a taskiller to kill programs running in the background?

Are you on the CL14 update? That addressed a lot of the lag regarding typing and a few other minor things. I know the lag you speak of, but with the update it is nonexistent and I text a lot.
