Car Stereo USB Issue
 

When I plug the Moment into the USB port of my car stereo, my car stereo reads that the USB is bad. My old touch pro works, so I'm assuming it has something to do with android. I have my phone rooted and I have auto mount installed. Any other suggestions? I can't seem to find any. And I know I can use the 3.5mm jack, but was hoping to use the USB. Thanks in advance.

I would try manually mounting it, to ensure that it is indeed trying to mount.

Yeah, i tried that before i used the auto mount program. same thing.

Then I would have to agree and say it is [potentially] an Android thing. However, just because, I will test it for you tonight. I have to go to Best Buy anyway and will try a couple of their decks on the floor with my Moment.

What is the make and model of your deck? That way, if they have it, I can test the same model.

back up the things on your sdcard, reformat it, put the things back on and try again
it's possible that there might be some corruption to the file system

Ok, no luck from me. Plus, when I rebooted my phone with it plugged in, it would freeze on boot. Sorry I couldnt have any insight. Might research it some more and get back to you.

Don't think it's an SD card issue because I am using the same SD card that was in my touch pro.

I have a Clarion VZ309, don't think best buy has it. I'm hoping someone has a solution.

Some people are saying some stereos only recognize fat32. Is your SD card formatted as that...not sure if mine is but i may try that.

it recognized it in my prior phone, which was a touch pro. i'm using the same sd card. thats why i think it is a problem with android. but i don't know what the issue would be.
