I have installed this onto my 830 now i can open the keyboard and dial directly from the screen can also look up contacts with it thanks to ercave1 over at xda-developers for this. I will post some screen caps if i get a chance.

ok update to what i just posted the app does work but after u dial a number do not hit the phone button hit the ok key and it will start dialing same goes with after u choose a contact hit the ok key

lol tried it on the 6700 awhile back and when u slide out the kb u could hit the letters to find a contact and dial but the letters were numbers and not letters on the top row so i figured i would post it.....most useful on treos or anything with an exposed kb.

mine works just like on the treo when u hit the numbers it dials numbers and when u hit the other keys it picks up contacts

not like that on the 6700 the whole top row were they would be letters without hitting the red dot are numbers no matter what.

I downloaded the zip file, but got an error. Has it been moved or changed since it was first posted?

i just redownloaded it and it worked fine if it doesnt work lemme know and ill repost it for ya

I'm an idiot. I didn't see where you are supposed to rename the file before attempting to download it. Trying again now!

Its probably different with the 830 because the number keys correspond to the same letters as the treo. Perhaps? Just guessing here

I failed to rename the program before attempting to open it after download. I renamed it and it installed fine now. I noticed, though, that the 'Call in Progress' status doesn't change after a call terminates. Is there a fix for this?
