Samsung SMS?

I'm considering purchasing the Intrepid. I've read comments that it does not use the MS standard text messaging app, it uses Samsung's own. Is this true, and can this be changed? I use Jeyo mobile extender to save text messages to the PC, and would need this to work. Thanks!

Actually it uses their own app to compose/send, but messages are received and read within Pocket Outlook (at least when I disabled threaded texting, which is one of the first things I did). Maybe someone who uses threaded texting on the intrepid can comment on how the messages are read on a stock setup.

Anyway, my point is that if the messages are read within pocket outlook, maybe your program would still work...just theorizing.

I don't know about that program specifically, but I know that it works with the Microsoft MyPhone that's built into the phone. You can then download your texts from their site to your computer.

Re: Samsung SMS?

As stated above there is a samsung app for composing messages but messages are also managed in pocket outlook when threaded.

i use "sms sync" to backup my messages and it works well.

Re: Samsung SMS?

One thing i have notice about the messaging is if i send someone a picture and they reply to that message then i get there message back as a text file and there is no way to open it without saving and going thru file explorer to open it.

Anybody know if there is a fix for that?
