Did you get Data to work? I tried with Rogers SIM card and I am able to use voice and text. But DATA is not working. My SMS works but it uses Sprint's phone number. I need to change it to show my own Rogers number.

I did not get to test data. The ATT SIM was my friend's who works for the State and does not allow their employees to use data...so I didn't want to get him in trouble.

It looks like the samsung intrepid is a gsm locked phone and it won't allow me to insert a local gsm carrier sim card!
Please help! I am willing to pay for the unlock pin code!
I can't swicht from cdma to gsm while inserting a foreign sim card!
The system is askimg me for a pin code in order to unlock the gsm portion
of the samsung intrepid 350i! Does anyone knows the pin code?

the code is your msl code, you could get it from sprint.

Exactly, just call Sprint and ask them for your MSL code.

Did you really need to post the question 4 times?

Hi folks--

I have an Intrepid and happen to be in India trying to get it to work with an (local) Airtel SIM.

I have my MSL (password), and can get to the screen to enter my phone number (MSN) and MSID, but I don't know how to find out what the MSID is.

Is an MSID something that is associated with phone or with the SIM? How would I find what the MSID is?

That's not quite correct - I tried entering the MSL in that screen and got nowhere.

The place I entered it - windows key>settings>personal>phone, then pick the "security" tab, there is a button entitled "SIM Lock". If you click that button and enter the MSL - the phone is unlocked.

I had no problem getting the MSL from Sprint, I just asked.
