tried clicking on the link above from the phone. it downloaded it and offered to open it immediately. but after downloading, the phone said

"installation was unsuccessful. the program or setting cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate."

Tried a second time and it worked... perhaps my phone was not logged into the forum on the first attempt to download the attachment

I use skyfire, but wanted to give opera mini another try. This version has the same problem of repeating keys that I had before changing to skyfire (when I first bought the intrepid).

Just an fyi...

I have no key repeating issues from this version..I think it's probably related to your Java emulator..I suggest uninstalling all java/opera versions and install clean from this cab file.

I tried the Opera Mini from your link and the Opera Mini 5 beta from opera website (which has few bugs for me - example keyboard "W" doesnt work).

But that WAS before I learned that Mini is NOT for Windows Smartphone.
I would recommend you getting the Opera Mobile 10 beta which is designed for WINDOWS BASED smartphone.

I am using Samsung Intrepid. I tried the touch phone verision and keyboard version. I recommend the keyboard verison because intrepid has keyboard and it the interface matches the keyboard and softkeys much better.

I wonder why you guys are using the Mini? It is generic and for other types of phones. Opera Mobile is designed specifically for the Windows SP.

I totally love Opera Mobile. WOW I like them better than IE. Also it helps that Opera compresses the data before sending to your phone so it is much faster.

The Intrepid is NOT a smart phone, but yes, it has too many bugs. For example, if you enable full-screen mode on Opera Mini, you won't be able to get back in w/o uninstalling and reinstalling. Yes, I have the lower-case "w" problem w/o using the on-screen keyboard.

Dont use the Opera Mini. Use the Opera MOBILE.

This is why there are alot of bugs, it is because people are using the wrong kind of apps.

Use Opera Mobile and your life will improve. I'm so happy with this browser on my interpid.

opera mini IS a native windows mobile application. it has a .cab install

Re: Opera mini for the intrepid

But you get bugs dont you? So, hence use opera mobile. I've advised people here 3 times to use the opera mobile. But looks like people like to ignore me.

I am telling you. Mobile gives you all the same features with NONE of the bugs!!!

Check opera website and you will find compability list which intrepid is matched to Opera Mobile.

Trust me. I've been rocking the mobile for months now with ZERO issues. Oh I remember now, Mini was made for a full touchscreen devices while mobile was made for keypad device which intrepid is!

I dont waste my time on forums unless it is as important as this.

I tried Opera Mini, it worked just fine for me, but I still like Mobile better, the only problem I have with Mobile is it takes forever to load, once it's loaded it is fantastic, just wish they would intigrate a video player with it so you can watch YouTube mobile and other such sites on it.
