Google Maps 4.1.0
 

Anyone gotten the search-by-voice feature to work on the Intrepid? I guess it's just yet another weird quirk on this phone.

I'm not sure it works on any phone, one time I got it to actually know what I was saying, one time I said "Applebees" and it returned tittysearch, no kidding.
I have been waiting for them to update it, I guess I should ask does it work on other phones? I think it is just a problem with voice recognition on google's end, on the bright side I did a search on this site (PPCGEEKS) for skype found a thread for wanted programs, downloaded an old version of Live search and it works just like it is supposed to, I have no idea what is different with Live search and Bing but Bing will not work, and locks up the mic, but so far Live search works perfectly.

Haha, I've had some funny returned results too. Thanks for the tip on Live search. I assumed the problem with G-Maps was specific to the Intrepid which would make sense considering all its other issues - didn't even stop to think that it could be a more widespread problem. Hopefully Google will get their act together soon. Thanks again.

I don't really see the issues mentioned for the Intrepid, accept for the deal with Bing, I know I wish the light would stay on longer for the key pad, but people complain about the battery on their PDAs and one way to keep the battery up is to keep the lights off, so I don't really think that is a bug, I have been very happy with mine.
