BingWM6 on Intrepid

I have a Samsung Intrepid, I love it, but when I use BingWM6 for what ever reason it locks up the mic, if I launch Bing then when some one calls they can't hear me, if I close Bing same thing, also the voice recorder won't work, and Bing can't hear me either, I have to reset my PDA to get the mic back, has any one else had this problem?

I know when I install Bing I get a notice that the Outlook application needs to be stopped, and asks if this is ok, same thing when I uninstall it, I never got this message on my HTC Touch, I am wondering if this could have something to do with it.
Thanks
Terry

Re: BingWM6 on Intrepid

It has been doing it to me since I got the phone, took me a couple of times to figure out that it was Bing that was doing it, I tried the beta version, but I have hard reset since that so I know there is nothing hanging around from it, I wonder what I could have on there that doesn't play well with Bing, have you used Tell Me? I wonder if there is something to do with that, or have you used voice command?

Thanks
Terry

Wow...My phone has had the problem of people not being able to hear me. I wonder if it is related to Bing.

I just uninstalled TellMe to see if there was a conflict, same thing, I sure wish some one knew what it was, but with me I have to do a soft reset to get the mic back.

Ok I went to wls.live.com, it had me download the new program then told me my device has been determined to not support that version, big surprise, then there was a link that said view Bing for older devices, downloaded Bimgwm5, installed it, and it works just fine, I can't realy see any difference between that and WM6 cab, anyway thought I wold post it just in case any one else needed the info.

Edited to add: Nope guess not, I tried it a second time and it blocked the mic, had to do a soft reset to get it working again, I wish some one could fix this, I love Bing, and I wonder why it seams to be just my Intrepid, I have no idea what I might have on here that doesn't play nice with Bing.

Just a note, I noticed that Google maps has a new version out for PPC, it has voice search, but it doesnt' understand anything you tell it, this surprizes me considering Google is generaly on top of every thing they put out, this will be almost as nice as Bing when they get it sorted out.

I double checked and it's not just you. It does it to me every time I use Bing too. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to fix it.

So that's atleast two of us, well I guess I feel a little better knowing that it isn't just me.
I have Garmin mobile XT, I have been playing with it lately it does most of what Bing does, just no voice, and the roads are a little out dated, but very useful so I don't miss Bing as much as I thought I would, can't believe I never used Garmin more for things like fuel prices and such, but then again I did have Bing, I still hope some one figures out what is going on and comes up with a fix.

Really the only thing I ever use Bing for is movie times. I live in a small enough town that gas prices are relatively equal from one side of town to the other. I have used it to find addresses and such. I guess I will just have to live with the mic killing for now.
