Re: Hey everyone

Not a retarded question at all. Titanium is the default Windows Mobile 6.5 interface. You can choose to disable Titanium and your desktop looks like the traditional WinMo desktop (flat, 2-D). I think I had the phone for about 3 weeks before I realized what Titanium was.

jac1599, can you do a quick writeup on how you installed Titanium Notifications on the Intrepid? I didn't see it in Home Customizer from the marketplace so I'm assuming you downloaded from elsewhere here or XDA and installed? Is it a .cab file or did you have to edit things manually?

wait you say titanium is the default winmo 6.5 interface...intrepid runs winmo 6.5...why would you need to dl it? Am I missing something?

+1 for the quick writeup (haha I'm acting like I already have the phone but's it's getting closer to probably yes)

Re: Hey everyone

He's talking about the specific pane that shows missed call count, VM count, email count, and SMS count all in one pane instead of separate panes. Titanium is the default interface, but that specific add-on isn't stock.

Re: Hey everyone

Sure I can do a quick write up....

1. Download Titanium Notification.cab from post #2 in the thread from XDA.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513431

2. Install .cab on device.

3. Download Home Screen Customizer from the marketplace.

4. Remove phone/voicemail/text/email panels from home screen.

5. Enjoy!

Re: Hey everyone

Plus, I also installed ibrythil's WM 7 Titanium Project from XDA as well. It makes each panel slightly larger than the standard 6.5 Titanium panels. So the 3 panels I have (weather, clock, and notifications) take up the entire screen on the Intrepid.

Here's the thread for it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=504716

Re: Hey everyone

Works pretty well. When I get an email, though, the icon changes from the outlook icon to a huge red circle with a white X in it. Weird.

Edit2 :

everything worked after a fresh hard reset. Not sure what happened that caused the issue below. It seemed like Home Screen Customizer crashed when I tried to save after removing the panes.

=================================
EDIT: DISASTER....tried using home customizer (which I'd already had installed and used) to remove vmail, email, and text panels, and now I have no today screen - the whole thing freezes on whatever was there before. If I hit start, I get the start menu, but if I hit today, it just freezes on the start menu and doesn't show the today screen.

I think there's something incompatible on my device...be warned....wish I knew what it was.

Now have to hard reset, I have no today screen. Bummer. I can only use the old 6.1 style today screen items.

SOLVED! I hard reset and everything worked well until I tried adding the "apps" panel with Home Screen Customizer. Then the same thing happened - today screen disappears forever. So there's an incompatibility there.

2nd hard reset of the day. :)

Re: Hey everyone

Oh my god...I completely forgot to mention that! There is a known issue with the app panel. The developer has a thread over at XDA. He is aware of the issue....and hopefully working on a fix.

If that ever happens again, you can just uninstall Home Screen Customizer, soft reset, and you should get Titanium back to normal.

Re: Hey everyone

Thanks - I thought I had tried that, but maybe not. I thought I tried a lot of things. Now my phone is working great through. I decided I like Titanium Notifications better than the App panel.
