How to get IMEI Number?
 

I bought some software and need to provide it for registration. I read online that you can just do this to get it:

*#06#

however, this does nothing for me and when I do it it tries to dial that number.

Is it the DEC or HEX number from the back of your phone? Thanks

IMEI is usually a term used for GSM devices and the *#06# works for At&t (GSM).

My IMEI is all numbers, and although I haven't checked, its probably the DEC number.

What software did you buy that asks for your ESN/IMEI? I would be hesitant at giving that out unless its a well-known company.

Some language software. They needed to give me the registration code.

The samsung intrepid for sprint doesn't do anything when I type in that code.

If you echat with sprint, you can usually get them to give it to you, tell them you had to reprovision your phone by dialing ##3282# and it's asking you for the IMEI. This has worked for me.

DEC should be your IMEI number.
