Re: What Navigation program are you guys using???
Ya sprintnav got a lot better with its recent update in my opinion. Still like google maps though, gps fix is quick and accurate for me over here in Portland! Sometimes you want a good map not just turn by turn :) and i think google does a good job. Bing is getting more use in my rotation though as of recently

I typically use Google Maps or Live Search.

Re: What Navigation program are you guys using???
Has anyone got Bing Mobile to install on the Intrepid? I tried installing it and although it runs, it errors out saying its not compatible shortly after loading up.

Re: What Navigation program are you guys using???
Is there a hack for Sprint Navigation? I remember a few years back finding a way of hacking it on my classic Samsung A680 dumbphone. It required downloading the hacked app with a specially edited java config file. It worked great, but then I got rid of the phone. I wonder if something similar could be done on the Intrepid. If not, I'm looking at using Garmin XT. Anyone get that working on their phones?

Sprint Nav for directions, and google maps to find out what's close.

Re: What Navigation program are you guys using???
Are there any software packages (like TomTom,Garmin, IGO, etc) that work on the Intrepid? Don't want to have to rely on cellular service for gps...

Re: What Navigation program are you guys using???
Pretty much all of them should, but you might need GPSGate for some of the older ones that aren't aware of the GPS port on the Intrepid (GPD9:). Some programs only look for GPS on the standard COM ports.

Re: What Navigation program are you guys using???
I have unlimited data, but after using sprint navigation a few times, it says I have to pay for it.
IF you are getting that error using bing, you have to download bingwm6.cab, not that new type one. |
Re: What Navigation program are you guys using???
Sprint Nav is also free with Boost!

Re: What Navigation program are you guys using???
I use bing mobile constantly. There's some new version that doesn't work on the phone, or complains, so I just use the other one it automatically downloads.
I was downloading from wls.live.com. |

Re: What Navigation program are you guys using???
I use Bing, there is a hack on this site, so the new version will work, I also use Live search (Bing before it was bing) if I use the bing for wm6 it shuts off my mic and I have to reset the phone, dont know why live search does not do that, and the new bing does not do it either.
I also use Google maps, and I have Garmin mobile xt, I love garmin but they have dropped support for WM. I don't like sprint nav mostly because they must be taking their maps from google now instead of navtec, and the problem with google maps, and now sprint nav is that where I live they have my street listed at 580 east which it is, and the next street over listed as 580 east, and it routes to my business which is on 580 east to the wrong 580 east, there other streets that are wrong too, so not real keen on relying on either of those for navigation.
