Samsung Galaxy network problems
 

Hi there, I have a Samsung galaxy and have been getting really bad connection problems, I have tried turning the phone on and off and switching in and out of airplane mode and have tried searching for networks etc, nothing is working, I was told it would be my phone provider - optus, however my daughter has 2 optus mobiles and has had perfect reception...what am I doing wrong?
any help will be greatfully appreciated.

To confirm..do you have a Samsung Galaxy or a Galaxy S

I have the Galaxy, not the Galaxy S

This section is mostly for the Galaxy S phones...:/

Also among regular Galaxy there is an i7500 and i5700(Spica)

If you have a Spica probably XDA/SDX would be the best place to ask..if its the original Galaxy then idk...best I can say is check out samsung's website for firmware updates?
