New Forum Structure

Am I correct? or can we keep themes and mods in the upgrades forums too?

Carla stickied a note about the rules of the upgrade forum, so I would keep themes and mods in the device general area and leave the upgrade area strictly for ROMs, radios and kitchens.

And a thousand thanks to Carla for moving everything around. I was having a hard time keeping up with where the hell everything is.

I like that layout, but we would need to divide up the Accessory section into sub-topics for each phone. They are all different enough to warrant their own section, especially the Epic.

So you guys are saying we should ask for a themes and mods section for each?

Though personally from seeing the Size of the Evo forum I don't see why we can't just merge themes, roms and mods :/

After wading through pages and pages of information on the TP2, I would like to see the themes and mods separate from the ROMs/kitchens section. I might flash a new ROM once every few weeks, but I'm always looking for day-to-day improvements, new graphics, etc. Maybe a separate theme/mod section isn't necessary for each phone if it they work for all versions. I would think themes would definitely go in the general Galaxy S section. Specific mods for just one phone would need to be labeled as such.

As long as we got TW2.5 and not 3 there would probably be a difference :/

That said thats what tags are for [ROM], [THEME] and etc would work...using the search feature you would instantly get only themes or only roms...but whichever will do as long as we have something...

Liking the new structure....now just need a Galaxy S phone at the top of the screen next to the PPCG logo...they can get rid of the TP if they have to, that phone is ancient...LOL

Everyone knows they should put all 4 galaxy s phones up there and remove everything else..well maybe TP2 can stay..then we can become a Galaxy S forum :)

I mean GPU wise 1 Galaxy S has almost as much processing power as all those devices on top combined >.>

For WM, we've always kept the upgrades forums for ROMs only, but Android is a little different. We don't have as many Android ROMs as there were for WM.

Carla mentioned changing the forum structure and I made it happen :)

I could easily create another subforum for "Themes & Mods" if needed.

I'll discuss with the staff about opening up the Upgrades forum to include those and see what happens.
