No activity in this forum?
I'm surprise to see no activity in this forum. No E4GT users here?

Re: No activity in this forum?
:angry2::angry2:I just ordered my SGSII - should be here in a week or so. Looks like I am going to have to go to xda to get anything.

Re: No activity in this forum?
Just wanted to update anyone who cares. I got my SGSII in the mail last week and I immediately rooted and flashed CyanogenMod 7 nightly #116. Its lightning fast, stable and I love how clean and light it is. It hasn't been updated in over a week mainly due to the almost complete lack of complaints on this build. If you have been riding the fence on whether or not to try out CM7, I say try it, I think you'll like it. You can download the nightly here:
CyanogenMod Mirror Network - Powered by TDRevolution The xda thread can be found here: [ROM][GWK74] CyanogenMod 7 [DEVELOPMENT ONLY] - xda-developers I get to play with this phone for about another 6 weeks and then I'm headed back to the US. I hope by the time I get back they have CM for the Sprint Epic Touch 4G. (fingers crossed) |
Re: No activity in this forum?
I'm suprised with how popular this phone is that the Galaxy S II (Epic Touch 4G) forum is quiet silent. Maybe I need to add a few question to the forum to get things rolling.

Re: No activity in this forum?
I know I wasn't in the forum...but even if I was there are only 2 pages of forum talk...Heck the Evo 4G forum has more pages....this one is silent...is it just that good of a phone nobody has anything to say about it?

It is an excellent phone. There just is no development going on here. Xda is a different story. |

We're a pretty savvy bunch here. |
Ok, I'll bite.
I have a stock rooted EL29 and did the Odex hotspot mod. Sprint is still stopping me from tethering on wifi and USB. Any advice? Sent from my SPH-D710 on the PPCGeeks App |

Superuser has the right permissions granted to your tether applications? |

Maybe you flashed the deodex version? |
Didn't flash at all. Copied the two .jar files to the system and overwrote the existing ones. Did NOT copy over the obex files. Instructions suggested only the Jar files were needed.

I went the lazy way and used clockwork mod to install the hack. |
I guess my next question would be how do I 'clear the cache' on a stock rom?
At a loss for things to try since I don't have the recovery route to flash (say what?) a zip file into the rom. Sent from my SPH-D710 on the PPCGeeks App |

There may be an app in the Market that will do that. |
Re: No activity in this forum?
Went with the clockwork mod and all is well now. Not sure what I was thinking in holding out and not installing it.
