Camera shutter sound?
 

Even when my phones volume is down (on vibrate) the camera shutter sound is still audible. Is there a way to disable this?

there was actually a law that was passed Congress gets bill to make cell phone cameras go click

but on my evo i could put it on vibrate or silent and the camera wouldnt make a sound.

are you rooted? xda has the fix and it works just dandy.

No, I have not rooted. I wasnt going to until custom roms started rolling out. Have you rooted?

custom roms have been out awhile bro. lol
hotspot is free now/CIQ is removed now ect ect. there are soo many hacks out for this phone its crazy. i even have old epic wired tether working.

Letme start by adding that I do not have this phone, however I may be getting itvery soon. I’ve just been reading up on mods/tweaks so I’ll be ready forwhen/if I pull the trigger on this bad boy.

Also,from what I’ve read there is also an app in the Market called "Super Spy Camera+" that disables thesound, however it removes autofocus capability (Does NOT require Root).

Use that link someone posted before to install the custom camera.apk to remove the auto focus sounds, then get "shutupcamera" from the market and that will remove the shutter sound. This all requires root access of course.
