PPCGeeks - Help with hardware ppc6700

I have recently aquired this device from someone whom busted the screen through some act of stupidity. I happened to have a tmoblle ppc that had the wrong charger forced into it and burned up the main board but had a good screen. So after dis-assembling both units i discovered the both shared the same screen (size was the same and the iterface flex cable was coded with the same nomenclature). I carefully installed the screen. I charged the phone overnight and turned it on the next day. The screen lights up and the keys light plus the slide out kb lights but nothing other than light on the main screen. i've checked and rechecked my repair and soft reset the device, no avail. active sync sees the device. i can browse it with vs+mobile 5. if you hit the green key twice it tries to dial the last number stored. It has been flashed from quest to cricket. Any ideas as to whats going on with it. i"m real new to this game and somewhat a noob. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
