Ringtone Software...
I haven't made ringtones in a REALLY long time, and can't remember what software I used.. Can someone recommend some good free software that will let me take my MP3's and make MP3 ringtones with them...
Really the only features I need is to select a part of the song, and save as MP3... Thanks all! Ohh, and I know about myxertones.com but my MMS doesnt work, lol... |
Audacity. Its free. You open up the MP3 file in Audacity, highlight the section you want to use as the ringtone, and you cut it, paste it in as a new file and export as MP3. Sounds complicated but it doesn't take long at all and when you're exporting, you can choose the bitrate of the MP3 along with the other features that LAME runs on.
http://audacity.sf.net Oh and btw, myxertones doesn't use MMS. If you browse their site directly, you can send the ringtones right to your phone. It sends through a text message, which you open up the link in your browser and download the MP3 directly. |

And that doesn't sound complicated, thinking back, I think that's how I did it before, lol.. Thanks again! |
LOL. No prob. It was just chance that I even saw your post. The Ringtones thread is so far down the page that I've never even been here before. I just happened to be bored ;) lol

When you export the files as MP3, what settings do you use? Mono right? is ~80 good quality for the apache's speaker?

Online ringtone makers are somewhat easier to use.
My favorite one is www.makeownringtone.com |
