.Wav Differences/Problems

I have found some great .wav files that I would like to use for notifications, but for reasons unknown, I can't use them.

I'll elaborate...I found some great .wav clips that I am able to listen to on my computer and I can use File explorer on the Mogul and play them in WMP. I place the files into the \Windows directory, but I can't hear them as notification sounds. I can see the .wav sounds in the Start--> Settings--> Personal--> Sounds & Notifications, but I get no audio.

I have many other .wavs that I use for ringers but it's just a select handful don't work properly.

I'm not sure if there is some type of difference between .wav files.....it would'nt make much sense for the same type of file format to be different.

Ideas?

There is a program out there called wavepad. You can run those files thru there and they will work...
Also this program will convert any sound to wav or mp4 format and you can edit the sound length voleume etc...
Very good program..

Thanks for the quick response. I thought maybe some type of conversion would be the answer.

Worked perfectly.
