Quick ringtone question!!

I have a bunch of MP3's on my phone, and I am at a point where I am looking for more memory every day, so...I am going to cut the songs down to ringtone length (I have the entire songs in currently).

My question is this.....what is the average, or recomended length (in time) for a ringtone?

Xxsrt4xX 10-26-2007 03:27 AM

21 - 30 seconds.

I did them last night, at about 30 seconds, so I guess I was about right!! Thanks for responding!! I solved my memory issue....I created the ringtones from the songs I had loaded in my phone for ringers, and switched the assignments, and then deleted the songs....I went from about 3.14 MB to about 36.96MB free!!!!!

WOOHOO!!! I'm an idiot!!!!!!!!!

Average Ringtone Length

As a TSS Helpdesk Trainer for a major wireless provider I can tell you the industry standard for any OEM ringer on a cellular phone is 23 seconds this is the exact length of time the phone will ring before the switch will route the call to the voicemail server.

Actually you should just copy all of Xxsrt4xX post about a sig line and make that your sig.

weird, almost every phone I've had that I've made ringers for goes for 30 seconds. That's what I make them for and they play through. The samsung A930 I used to have before this was 30 seconds, cause that's how long it rings for.

I don't know if it would show like it does in the post, but I see what you mean, that would be funnier!!
