Make your own themes...

Does anyone know of the best program available free or shareware to make your own themes?

I've noticed there are plenty of programs to change the colors of WM6, you can even add your own backgrounds--this is fine for some people, but when i switch to landscape mode, my awesome background quickly goes from awesome to crappy, as it's desgined for portrait mode.

I used to know of a theme maker for WM5 that allowed you to add backgrounds for both portrait and landscape mode so that your images wont get distorted when switching between the two, but i forgot what it was called.

Thanks a lot!

there are a few programs out.

ThemeGenCE (Free)

Theme Maker Pro Plus ($10 - $30)
http://www.thememaker.biz/

Pocket PC Theme Generator Power Toy 2.0 (Free)

ThemeMaker McDeb ($ 18 )

http://www.mcdeb.com/tmmcdeb/

I like to use ThemeGenCE. Its free and if you make themes with different wallpapers for portrait and landscape. also allot of other nice features.

I remember the first two!

Thanks a lot. do you have any experience with any of these programs to recommend one over another?

Also, all of them should be compatible with WM6 if compatible with WM5, correct?

I use themeGenCE i tried all of them and like that one the best.
"Pocket PC Theme Generator Power Toy" doesn't have enough features, " ThemeMaker McDeb" crashes alot and " Theme Maker Pro Plus" Cost money and doesn't seem to have as much feature as ThemeGenCE
When you set the color for the top and bottom bars it will look like wm5 in the program. But when you have it on wm6 it will look like wm6 bars.

The same as the 6700 ThemeGenCE just shows it in wm5 style but it will have wm6 bars when you put it on your phone. any of the qvga.

Cool. Thanks. I'm making a theme using tow different images. Is there a way to make the Navigation Bar (Start Menu, Time, etc..) & System tray bar(calendar & contacts) between the Portraist and Landscape images?

Click on the mona lisa picture.

Check landscape box to edit landscape pictures. uncheck box to edit portrait pictures.

The 2 raido buttons "Today and Start" Is to edit start image or today wallpaper.

The camera image is to search for an image on your pc.
The floppy drive image is to save your work.

The ppc image to the left of the mona lisa picture with save your theme to your pc.

Thanks. I got this part down (I thnk). But I havent been able to have two different colors show on the Menu bar and Start bar. I want them to be red in Portrait mode and Black in Lanscape mode. Is that possible?

Re: Make your own themes...

Thanks for the info on the theme generator. I'm a noobie at the PPC stuff and I'm finding it to be very cool. I built my first theme today using KidGixxer's recommendation. Too cool. Many props KidGixxer.

Re: Make your own themes...

Anyone got settings to make themegence work on 6700? I can not make this program work. no matter what I do nothing lines up. Landscape comes out nice but portrait will not "line up" the program is altering my images. When I load them directly vis pic viewer they line up perfectly (I am using wisbar to also skin the top and bottom bars)

The source image is the proper 240x268 needed and it will not load the "different" images for the start menu.

Sometimes it won't even load the wallpaper.

Suggestions?

Also how do I chance the color of the soft key text? its black which is NOT visible on this backdrop I need them to be white or some other light color??

Thanks!
