Try now your attribues were wrong, only check Archive and that's it other than that everything looked good in the cab itself. If it still wont intsall means a file is bad maybe not signed or something. Try mine I attached below

What other type of customized have you done to the phone? You are installing the sdkcerts first right?

Gadget & HTCLeener here is mightymikes HTCVolumecontrol he is using in his ROM, it is an udated version from what we have in ours, take a look at it.

Yep SDcerts first... I have some manila edits (basic icons, clocks type of stuff)and the various reg edits that are pretty common such as no sent message, color edits, that sort. I have no problems installing any start icon and Skidbox made me "Brenn" for the "Start" which do not affect the settings menu icons.. but as soon as I install a taskbar I lose at least half of the icons in the settings window. Taskbar icons work fine.

Hi tsowen, I'm having trouble with one of your taskbar cabs and I'm hoping you can give me a hand. I have a Sprint Touch Pro running Mighty 4.14 ROM. I installed tsowentaskbar3v1.4 but as you can see below, not everything is displaying properly. The Start icon and signal bars show what was stock on the ROM. Every once in a while I'll see blue above the bars where the data arrows are, but usually it's just the plain white bars. Also it's the bars are thick, not thinner like in screenshots of other versions. Does something else need to be installed in addition to tsowentaskbar3v1.4.cab? Thanks.

Well, I tried it again and didn't have any luck. On lilboys files when I click on the actual shellres.192 file it ends with .dll, and I noticed the original windows file ends in .mui. So when I change the name on lilboys file, and click on it. It shows shellres.192.0409.mui.dll... When I send it to the windows folder, it just goes straight in there w/o replacing any other files.

I know this is just getting frustrating, but I really can't live with the thought that I couldn't change that darn start icon lol. It's not even about wanting my start icon to be better; I just want to be able to actually change the damn thing! lol..

yo, how did u get that different taskmanager icon. are u using that one instead of the stock one? i have that same taskmanager, but i have to start it everytime i wanna use it, and the stock one is always running

i want to thank you 4 your help and share my results.
i still plan on changing activesync icon and flight mode. also add bluetooth icon. any help wont be turned down, or a more detailed instructions on editing the dll's(i read all threads here and xda but dont understand after i unsign?)

You need to make a registry edit to make the signal icon change from 5 to 7 bars and your icon will be ok. I don't have the exact edit available right now. Look in MM's thread.
