PPCGeeks - Custom Taskbar

Very great job Tsowen.
I'm currentyl using v1 and find it beautiful.
Just noticed the network signal level (vertical white bars) only appear when making a call or taking an incoming call. When not phoning, doesn't show up ...
Not a big deal though, just a bug (?) report.

same here, looks like its pretty & blue when there's no data exchange going on (look at it when you're on a call) but standard default any time data is active (most of the time).

Well errr damn I tried going on ahead and installing that one file and it still didn't change my battery icon..

Cancel all that!! I figured out that it was SPB PocketPlus that was showing the white battery icon, and thats why nothing would change the battery icon, cause it wasn't for PocketPlus.. LoLhttp://www.realpics.net/emotes/doh.gif

I am having a slight problem. Tried 3 different cabs:

PurianS Tsowen Modded Taskbar.cab
tsowentaskbar3v1.5_tp2.cab
tsowentaskbar6v3.2.cab

All installed fine but all had the same problem. The signal icon was white and looked like a sim card with an X on it.

I tried using the CDMA_RSSI_PPC file from the first post and all that did was return the signal icon to the stock one.

Screen shots attached. First is with any of the three cabs and second is with the CDMA file installed as per instructions.

Any ideas on how to get the signal icon working.

Background

Running Mikes Mightyrom on a CDMA Telus TP2
No other cabs installed that deal with the task bar at all.

95% of the taskbar mods will now throw that you have no SIM card in the phone. Stock does not. I got an extra one from a friend and just deleted the info. Sprint supposedly provided a dummy sim so you don't get this. I used to have this problem. I heard there is a work around but never found it or heard it was difficult. Like I said if you got a friend on GSM and he has a extra unused or old one.

Problem is that you cannot install the sim card in the Telus TP2 unless you are out of the country. In Canada when you install the sim card your data connection will not work so that is not an option unfortunately.

I've got the same problem as a number of other posters here with the no sim card icon instead of the signal meter.
Happens with every task bar I've tried.
I understand why I'm getting it, but putting in a old or dummy sim card doesn't seem like an actual "fix" for it.
Anyone know what else can be done.
