Noobie with a question.....plz help!

I'm sure the answer is contained somewhere in the last 149 pages but alas, I have yet to find it.

Here is the problem-----> Missing signal strength bars and data arrows...in place of it is a white box with a little x at the top left. If I turn data connection off, I see a blue earth symbol.

Here is what I did-------> Installed sdkcerts.cab, installed battery driver and installed Taskbar2 (from page one of this thread)

next I used total comander to rename CDMA_RSSI_PPC.ddl to the same with the .bak extention.

Then I downloaded the new CDMA_RSSI_PPC.ddl from this thread and moved it into the windows directory, soft reset, navigate back to windows and deleted the file with the .bak extention.

soft reset again and the problem is obvious. All the other icons are working fine including wi-fi symbol, missed alerts etc etc....just the signal strength/data symbol UNLESS data is off...then its a blue earth...

Anyone know what I missed/did wrong?

im trying to install tsowentaskbar6v1[1].1.cab. i get this message
does not have sufficient system permission.
i install SDKerts.cab first.

yeah sorry for that.. my browser was trippin..
no this is my personal phone.. is there a setting i should change?

Can someone make this work ?? signal icon deosn't show and when I charge my phone, it acts like it is fully charge when, obviously, it's not.....on wqvga.

Hmm... I would ask TSOwen.

The only other time I've seen authorization errors is when your phone needs to be in airplane mode (happened to me when installing a dialer). Try switching to flight mode and try installing.

It's a taskbar that crazylilboy at xda is working on. As far as I know, all he's done is post screenshots for a few months about it (though I do not follow the thread that he posts them in - I just remember reading it once and it was mainly people wondering when/if he would release anything).
