I am still developing but at the moment I will be in Houston until July 6, so gadgetfreak and Brock could you guys please hold the fory down on this thread and the other taskbar thread until I get back. Once I a back my goal is to convert all my taskbars to WM 6.5 and I have a brand new taskbar I am working on. I have asked Gadgetfreak and Brock to watch over my taskbar threads until I get back.

Re: Custom Taskbar

I think I may have found the solution to my "no battery icon in the taskbar" question.

A simple Registry edit seems to do it. I have only tried this on SilenceMighty's 6.25 ROM so it may not work on others.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Taskba r\ ConsistentClock=2 (default is 0)

Leave LimitedClock at it's default of 0..

soft reset and it seems to work in all programs I have tried except Opera and Photos (Album) which take over the whole screen anyway. Please let me know if anyone tries it on a different ROM/carrier.

And thanks again for your patience and understanding!

Here is the WM 6.1 conversion of my custom made taskbar for the Bear-Bonz series of ROMs. This is VGA only, folks as the detail level does not translate to QVGA very well at all. Sorry guys...

You will find 4 cabs below. The first 2 are for the taskbar, CDMA and GSM flavors. The second set of cabs is for those of you running Rhodium TF3D as they will modify your Notifications Enhancements, also in CDMA and GSM flavors.

As always, make sure you have SDKcerts installed first, back up your phone, and install nuepowerdriver located here if you are CDMA.

OMG! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! :headbang: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE find a way to make this possible for QVGA! I'll seriously donate!

WOW!

Re: Custom Taskbar

Ok guys I am a self teaching learner so far. Recently plagued with the mysterious "ugly E" icon rather than my custom blue Ev icon I decided to try to become a bit more than a basic noob. In this thread I found where i need to add a Rev A icon to my tapres. Basically I have never tried anything this advanced (haha laugh all you want:???:). I am running a stock ROM Alltell Touch Pro with the tsowentaskbar 6 v2.1. I figure if I get comfortable with this type of thing and I will move on to ROM swaps. Mad kudos to everyone working on all these things here, you are not only genius' but artists.

I love this taskbar and until the ugly E showed up hadn't looked to change a thing. I would like to add the orange striped Rev A icon and update the non-active data to the red as well, leaving all other aspects of the taskbar the way it is. Again I am a total noob that will attempt this merely off of forum instructions.

My question is does anyone or would anyone mind making this into a cab file. I will be lucky to be able to make the changes manuall myself. I love this taskbar and these changes will make it perfect for my setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to pull the .dll files from my device and I am using total commander CE. When I try to pull the shellres.192.dll it says the file cannot me copied. I cannot rename it or do anything. I was able to pull some of the dlls like the HTCVolumeControl and phcanOverbmp.dll without any issue. anyone have any ideas on how to get the others? I have a feeling that since I cant even copy them I wont be able to replace them.

All I do is highlight the files, go to File... pack with ZIP save to storage card and I have them all.. can do what I need with them after that. It works for any file that is "protected" from copying/moving.
