Im having issues with my bluetooth icon.

Im aware that if you use the standard dialer instead of htc dialer you lose the bluetooth icon. Ive found a fix for this which does restore the bluetooth icon. but installing tsowen taskbars doesnt skin the bluetooth icon at all??

can someone look at this as its very frustrating

thanks

ive included fix if this helps

Hi there Tsowen. Great work on these TBs!
Came here from XDA.
I got some of your taskbars on my Polaris wm6.1 but not all icons do show.

-messages: never shown (old icon)
-signal strenght: only during calls
-headset/bluetooth headset: never shown
-red "X" for closing programs: never shown

I tried a couple of t6 and a t5
I installed sdkcerts but didn't change a thing.
What can i try?

Attached is an image of my problems.
I unsigned and opened every dll that points to those icons and they are ok.
Mainly CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll which got all the necessary icons.
Nonetheless as you can see default signal bars are displayed.
Also no BT icon pack comes with modified masks, so i get this horrible effect if not using black theme.
I really like somebody to chime in.

Ok after some tests here i am:

I manually edited the BT masks and now, those at least, are fine.

After much fiddling, and thanks in no small part to the cook my rom Robertus3D, it was an easy enough thing: rename the dlls from .192 to .96

Now almost all is ok (headset still gives me headaches)

Looking good and thanks for the shots! I have seen most things (problems) are the way Chef ROMS cook the ROM's that are causing some images.

a little advice please. Im currently using tsowens 6v3.1 taskbar on wm6.1.

I need to change the bt stereo headphone and stereo headphone icons as my taskbar is black and the icons dont show very well. The icons in taskbar 4 is ideal. I used WinCE cabmanager to change the two .bmp files over and the removed the taskbar from my ppc and installed the edited one but still displays black icons.

Any ideas where im going wrong?

p.s. The file names are identical so no problems there
as far as I understand from post 1 in this thread the bt icons are only bmp files and no need to edit any .dll's?

thanks

I'll look at it bro and see what I can do a little later this evening.

Thanks mate. Since you're there. I found that changing the CDMA_RSSI_PPC.dll does not affect the signal strenght icons showing. It stays there. Same for the Headset icon (BT Headset now shows ok). How's that? Maybe they are in some other dll that didn't get overwritten? Also do you know if it's just MY rom that uses .96 instead of .192 or if it is the Polaris device?

Changing the dlls to .96 isn't enough. The icons in the dll don't always scale down properly, so they will mess up more that your task bar (call history for one). Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Polaris a GSM phone?

Try installing this version for QVGA instead. It does not have the updated speaker icons yet, but it should work for you. Oh, and since your are on 6.1, your signal bars will not be modded, unfortunately...
