cause that is a cool icon - but I don't use the sprint tv tab! Once you get into the manilla editor and start changing the files, it gets easier. |

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
Just a RE: on those images that Manila Editor doesn't take, try using my own Manila Editor (CFC), which can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=437777 EDIT: Actually, go here instead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=470798 It's built on the information uncovered when I ported TF3D to QVGA, the original posts by D-MAN (brains behind original Manila Editor), and research done since by myself and D-MAN. Supports all image types, does the headers properly, etc. Image decoding and encoding quality should be better than Manila Editor as well. |

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
I just installed this - Great stuff by the way props to OP - but I'm having a problem. Looks like it includes landscape manila but when I rotate TF3D, it gets all screwy - obviously not using landscape. Any ideas? Am I missing something? Am I just an idiot?

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
Same problem here I'm also kinda laggy and I have done the proper tweaks, still a little slower then I would like...

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
Hi... this is probably a newbie question...
I'm trying to replace the manila files in Windows folder with modified ones, but it won't allow me. I guess the Windows folder is read only... Any idea how to change that? |
Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
you have to have a better file explorer than what on the TP, search and you can find total commander, once you DL it to your phone you can move the manilla files.

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
Got it. Thanks.

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
Epic thread, goodthings.
You've probably seen this but here is a link to some flip clocks that have supposedly defeated the flip up/appointments errors: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=469259 I haven't tried them but I thought you might be curious. Has anyone come across a thread revealing how to safely remove that big clock entirely? I'm fine with a taskbar clock and I'd like to use that screen real estate to harbor some custom art. :drunken: (Id like to be able to do this with background on every screen as an option. I wonder if the clock could be 'removed' by making everything about it transparent?) Thanks. Love the mod atmosphere here! Edit: There is a thread going on for this located here = http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=54269 |

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
Thanks for all the help this thread is great. I was able to make all the changes I wanted.
I also found this, http://www.isyougeekedup.com/must-have-applications-and-programs-for-the-htc-touch-pro/ The Advanced Configuration Tool allows channels (like sprint tv) to be removed with a single click. Also there all lots of options to improve performance and appearance. Not as fun as editing registry files, but very simple. |
Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
WHERE can i find the tutorial for the call history tab?
|
Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
Okay so I'm working on that tinkerbell theme. I liked the Vodofone Red theme, so I just changed the icons to blue and went from there. But everytime I do it, and save the files, change to .theme - Diamond config gives me an error stating cannot find central directory.
Anyone know what I can be doing wrong? I really hate to start completly over with the stock sprint theme and make changes from there. |

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
When you save the file on your PC, don't save it as a text file. It currently has the *.txt extension on the file....remove the extension and you should be all right. In your Folder options, you can choose to view extensions for known files. Then, you can just remove the TXT extension from the manila file. Hope this makes sense....

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
I've been trying for so long to add the Glass Clock file to my phone, but everytime I soft reset it, it always shows up digital clock. So I go back into the files on my phone and delete them, then try again. I'm kind of doing different things everytime I install it, so I obviously have no idea what I'm doing (can't you tell) so can anyone be patient enough to help a noob out. Kind of like a step by step process in installing it. I originally wanted the backgrounds on every tab, but I assumed I needed the glass clock zip first, then the background zip. Sorry for not knwoing anything, my first time doing this kind of stuff...
|
Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
I just went through every page of this thread and apparently no one has trouble with getting the glass clock on their phones! Lol, I guess I'm the only one.
|
Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
is the glass clock you are installing just manila files? you don't have to delete anything, just copy the new ones and paste over the existing files. by deleting them i am guessing the rom is recreating them when you reset.

Easiest way to do it is to use this file. Open it with Total Commander and then just copy the files into your Windows folder. This will give you the clear clock and backgrounds on all tabs.
Then soft reset and should be all good. |
Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
I don't know where the OP went but, A BIG THANKS TO HIM FOR HIS WORK!!
I just upgraded to a touch pro from an original moto Q and was a little overwhelmed before i found this thread. Thanks again, GoodThings2Life time to learn a new phone. |

I can use the program and open the Manila Files but I get this error the first time I try to replace an image. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...anilaerror.png Under the details tab: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'Manila_Editor.QTCConverter' threw an exception. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\lut1.lut' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access) at Manila_Editor.LookupTable..ctor(Byte[] data, String t) at Manila_Editor.QTCConverter..cctor() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Manila_Editor.QTCConverter..ctor(String srcFileName, String destFileName, Int32 header) at Manila_Editor.Form1.button2_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventAr gs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.O nMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.W ndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3521 (NetFXspW7.050727-3500) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- Manila Editor Assembly Version: 0.2.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/Users/Justin-Big/Desktop/Manila%20Editor.exe ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3521 (NetFXspW7.050727-3500) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3521 (NetFXspW7.050727-3500) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3521 (NetFXspW7.050727-3500) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3521 (NetFXspW7.050727-3500) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.3521 (NetFXspW7.050727-3500) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
I have been getting that error too. So what I have been doing is using the CFC_Gui to save & replace my files, the I use Manilla Editor to zip em all.

Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes
ok im understanding this whole process..sorta. the only thing im trying to figure out is how do i extract the manila files on my phone to my pc??
i tried to use total commander but i dont know how to extract from there....i kno its probably the easiest step in customizing manila themes..lol! but i would greatly appreciate the help with the steps to do so....thanks so much!! |
Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes

I don't I 'm understanding you correctly. You mean you changed your back ground and operator log using Manila Editor? You can easily do both of those thing without Manila Editor if you want to. For your background, just go to the "Settings" tab in TF3D, then "wallpaper" and change it there. For your operator logo: Use "Personalizer". You can find it on this site. BTW. Welcome to the site! |
Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes

Connect you phone to your computer via Active Sync. Then start Manila Editor. You should be able to follow it from there. I havent used the program, but I think once its connected it finds the Manila files. No sure though BTW. Welcome to the site! |
Re: HOW TO: Customize TouchFLO3D / Manila Themes

Could not load file or assembly 'ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib, Version=0.85.4.369, Culture=neautral, PublicKeyYoken=null' or one of its dependencies. the system cannot find the file specified. ) thanks a million to any who could assist me!! :headbang: |
