SMS sound trouble
My phone must be screwed up or something cause I put all the cropped tones into my rings folder, and when I go to sounds and notifications and choose text messages from the drop down, all I get are the boring standard tones for text messages...Yet the ringtones show up for incoming calls from the drop down so I have that but not any sms sounds other than standard. Why is this?

What phone are you using?
I am on a Treo 700wx, and even if you add the tone/file, you have to go to the settings/sounds and notifications/manage and add the file to your choices, just having them in the phone doesn't make them available for use. Hope this helps |
calls - beginning of the retarted burger king christmas song
sms - clip from foamy the squirrel cartoon "medicated baby heads" where he says 'The Babies Are Here" |
i use the dying ringer from the movie crank for calls, cup of dice for sms. i use the ever so classy texas ranger quote from talladega nights "one of you turds is bout to get slapped in the mouth if you dont keep it down".

for ringer I just use a local bands song.
for sms I use the "spotted" sound from metal gear solid! |
How do you use your own sounds for notifications? I can't seem to do it. I have the 6800 and I put my sounds where I see the other ones are but when I go to sounds and notifications to select the one I want to use, the one I put there is not in the list...what am I doing wrong?

i've tried mp3/wav/wma in windows, windows/sounds, windows/rings, windows/system, only windows/rings shows up for an incoming call, not for other notifications... |
