hey quick q'stion...

did u guy do the "INSTALLATION" or "TO CHANGE SYMBOL - Manually"?


The reason i ask is, i c the "gwes.exe.0409.mui" in the windows folder already so do i need to run the !WAIT.cab first or would it still work if i download a new symbol and do the "TO CHANGE SYMBOL - MANUALLY"

Yep, that is all I had to do. Did not run the cab file (on Apache with AKU 3.5).

I have got my icon in the windows folder. I have the wait select program pointed there to select my icon. It resets my phone, but I still have the same ole wait icon.

Any suggestions?

Well the other thing the cab does is set a registry value on your device:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\MUI]
"Enable"=dword:00000001

That value was already set on my PPC6700. But it may not be set on all devices (I don't know for sure). So either add that entry or install the cab file (followed by a soft reset) to see if that makes it work for you.

ok so I went to the site and downloaded the cocacolacap.zip file but when I went to my Window folder to copy the "gwes.exe.0409" to my storage card so that I can extract the new cocacola 'loading' icon into the windows folder it says that I can't copy/move these type of files. so wat can I use to/ how can I move the file to storage so that I may replace it with the new icon.

How did you try to copy the file? You may need to use Resco or Total Commander in order to do it. File Explorer may not do the trick...

i tried moving it w/ Total Commander and that didn't work either. Even w/ Total Commander it's saying that i cant copy/move the file.

idk if it's something i'm doing wrong or wat, do i haven't to extract the cocacola file to the windows folder first then move the stock "gwes"?
