Will you return/pass on the Touch Pro 2 and wait for the HD2/Leo?
 

Since T-Mobile is getting the HD2 next month and there's no doubt Sprint will get it soon also, will you return your Touch Pro 2 and wait for the release of the HD2. I'm currently within the 30 days for returning the Touch Pro 2 and plan to return it to get my 2 year $150 upgrade back.
Even though I got the TP2 for $199+tax with Citilink, the HD2 is too good to pass up. :D

Same here, I love my hardware keyboard. Now when the TP3 (Leo with a Keyboard) comes out, I am all over that.

Agreed, I love the HD2 and would envy anyone with it, but texting on a screen sucks, even a capacitive that size.

If this is how they start building their phones, we may see a TP3 (from HTC, not US carriers) in late February or early march!

+1 to that if htc releases a phone with the same specs as the leo with a keyboard and it wasnt the size of a netbook i would get it release day1

I'm keeping the TP2. Had the Omnia which was great but it had only the onscreen kb, and although I don't use the hardware keyboard constantly, I want it for lengthy texts, etc.

no ill keep the TP2.

im waiting for a TP2 with the capacitive screen and snapdragon processor.

the HD2 is nice but it has a big footprint thats for sure and thats a tad bit larger than what i want to have in my pants pocket all day long

Although on screen typing is getting much better these days, it's still not good enough for me to give up the hardware keyboard yet. Maybe someday.

So no, I won't be getting the Leo unless it somehow amazes me enough to forget about the hardware keyboard.

Hardware keyboard FTW. Multi touch screen. fancy, but not necessary. Bigger screen, nice, but makes a bigger phone. TP2 is a good compromise of all. The cpu however... wish I could get a tp2 with a 1ghz processor and a better battery.

I'm sticking with my TP2 until HTC releases a WM7 T-Mobile USA 4G phone with Keyboard and 3.6"+ screen. Since WM7 isn't out until next year and T-Mobile USA is still exparamenting with the descision of speeding up their 3g or going 4g I'm staying where I am.


For anyone who floods me with questions about T-Mobiles high speed future here is what I know. I spoke to tech support people at tmobile and I have gotten mixed answers on their plans. Some say they are going 4G and others say they are going with faster 3G but it is all in test markets right now since they are busy rolling out their current 3G to more markets.

I am about to start a job with Tmobile so I am going to have the best of both worlds, HD2 through them and the TP2 still with Sprint. I figure if I have to have a company phone why not get the best and keep the best with Sprint.

nothing beats a good hardware keyboard. i bought an imagio on launch day and didnt even keep it a week. after 4 or 5 long emails to clients i was ready to go back to the tp2

AFAIK T-mo doesnt give free phones or plans to their employees...well at least not reps. Im on a dealer line, $20 for My faves and 400 minutes. Now Sprint they give free lines...which I have. lol 2 phones and I pay a total of $20 a month!

Too bad the Tmo line never gets upgrades...not that Id want to change out my N96 anytime soon

I know Sprint gives free lines to employees because I used to work there. Tmobile is actually run by a seperate company in my region (wireless vision) and employees have company phones. From what I have been told so far, there are different plans starting from $20/month for 1500 min.

it is tempting to hold out for the hd2, but i dont think i will. i am pretty happy with the tp2 (huge upgrade over my titan). there is no telling when the hd2 will hit sprint. might as well enjoy the tp2 for now.

I really like my TP2, so I'm sticking with it. I get another upgrade a year from now and should have even better toys to choose from then.

Talks of T-Mobile 4G haha, whether it is true or not, one cant forget what their running on now.

My sister has t-mobile and whenever she comes by to visit, I take her curve and look in the top right corner and then laugh and make fun of her that her phone is still running on edge! I live in the LA area

By the Time T-Mobile acquired the HTC Touch Pro2, web sites up all over the Internet with TP2 and Sprint Logo's on them,
and if I am not mistaken a Sprint release date. If that's the case when the HTC HD2/(LEO) hits T-Mobile then I will wait on Sprint!
(would rather not have two phone's) but if that's not the case, then T-Mobile sign me up for your HD2 and Even More Plus plan:

another point escpecially with the keyboard config software that has been released you can do so much more with the hardware kb. cut, copy, paste, launch programs with the 'f' key if you wanted to etc. etc...

I've seen pictures of this sexy beast and if Adonis does come to sprint... I will have a hard time keeping my money in my pockets. This phone may make me want to learn how to type on the screen. Plus with all it's abilities... I think windows 7 would be a nice fit. I don't know... I am torn. Love my tp2 and it's keyboard but 1ghz and big screen not to mention thin profile and long lasting battery...

Having left a Centro, I am having wayyyy too much fun tweaking this thing to send it back. I'll probably upgrade in 3 years or so. :-)

No! I will wait for the TP3 w/ 1ghz Snapdragon processsor + captive screen.

HD2 screen is to big. Sometimes bigger is not better.

You guys are making one big assumption. That there will be a CDMA version of the HD2. With current news this is unlikely.

A phone is only as good as it's connection (network). This is why I would stay with Verizon even if HD2 came to Tmobile.

for all of u who say they need their keyboard, have u tried typing on a capacitive screen...it is so much easier than resistive screens..as soon as this beast drops im gettin it

you know... I've never tried it... but I do know several people with Iphones and they all hold their phone with one hand and hunt and peck with the other (one finger) as they shrug their shoulders cuz the keys are so close together it is natural body language response to try to fit yourself into the space you are looking at. Woah... I think that was a runon sentence. lol.
But anyway... I would be willing to try to learn. I will at least give it the full 30 days before deciding not to keep it after I get it.

ive tried it and when typing in landscape it is really easy since you dont have to press down like you do on a resistive screen. u guys can keep ur tp2 im gettin the HD2

I am suprised I hardly ever use the keyboard for the TP2.

i got my tp2 for free, I'll just use my upgrade to get the hd2 or if i need to sign up for a new line of service and get the huge discount and cancel my primary line and pay the small etf and be happy

Has there been news of the HD2 releasing on Sprint? I only saw the TMo stuff. I'll be selling my TP2 and switching to the HD2 for sure if it comes to Sprint.
