Whitestone or TP 2
 

I am really leaning toward the Whitestone for the size aspect. I am using the vogue now so I'm used to a software keyboard. My hanging point is the fact that it looks like it will only be on Verizon for a while.With a single provider will the community support for roms and upgrades suffer as a result? I think I would rather have a customized Touch Pro 2 than a stock Whitestone.

Less weight, better camera... and oh did I mention less weight?

Much more likely to survive a fall. Better protection options with cases and silicone. I hope it has a teather cord, so that my wife can wear hers around her neck like she does her touch.

After going from the Mogul to having a Diamond I've gotten used to having a smaller phone. I found that I didn't need a keyboard. Trying to wait for the Diamond 2 but when Christmas comes around I know I am going to want a new toy.

So are we guessing the D2 comes before or after Christmas?

Pure speculation but my guess is early December. The FCC filing was done almost 3 months later than the Touch Pro 2.

Does anyone have an opinion on the amount of community support this phone will have?

Hard evidence no.... but I was told it would be this year and that if you check history the touch and mogul and the TP and Diamond were released within wks of each other. This came in a phone call I received in response to an email I sent to Dan@sprint.com. It has been listed on phonearena for weeks. I'm hoping the D2 is Sprints WM 6.5 phone to be released on Oct 6th as per Microsoft. Obviously this is only speculation (wish?) on my part
