*****Anyone Interested in the new Samsung Android coming to Sprint???*****

So I am sort of tired of HTC. Phone look excellent, still a little lag(and I am using different roms), sound quality sucks like hot wet trash...you basically have to hack it like crazy to make it the way you want. SO.........

I am thinking about going to the new Samsung i7500 when it comes to sprint. I have always liked Samsung phones....durable, great sound, great battery and new OS.

I'm personally not interested in anything Android. Maybe somewhere down the line...

It's nice to have options though!

All depends which new phone is allowed on SERO. I wouldve preferred the screen to be 3.6 to 3.8 inch but other than that the specs look good.

So I am glad you said that about the SERO, so what sprint trying to take it away from people or something? I have it, are they making it where certain phones arent allowed on Sero??

I just really want a winmo phone not made by htc. Sheesh they make a sorry product. I have had 4 and all have the same exact issues.

Did you actually read somewhere that this phone is coming to Sprint?

I would be willing to give it a look. I looked at the Pre (pretty impressive for the first gen release, can you say multi-task?), but won't upgrade my plan just to get the phone. I would like a larger screen though.

I think it's kind of an ugly device myself, but something new is always fun :)

I might consider it depending on what other software can be run on it. I want compatability. WinMo has the lead on that issue right now.

Read up on it online, I am pretty sure I saw it coming to T-Mobile and Sprint.

It's got practically the same Qualcomm processor as the Touch Pro. No way in hell I'm getting another Qualcomm processor unless the performance is drastically improved (clockspeed or drivers). To me, outside of Android - this is NOT an upgrade.

I would be interested if it supported Microsoft Office, had a good email and database program. Those are my main concerns. Of course an external keyboard is always necessary.

Am very intrigued with the two Android devices coming to Sprint this Fall/Winter. Hero and the InstinctQ. Someone earlier hit it on the head though, I need compatibility with word, excel, and some form of Outlook.

I'm glad that MS is finally moving their mobile O/S to present day...but I'm afraid that they're johnny come lately...when Android, iPhone, Web/OS have all leap frogged in front.

If anyone of those 2 Android devices support those above apps...I'm definitely moving to Android and not looking back...esp now that my favorite chef is not developing here anymore!!!

This one doesn't interest me, but the Hero does. But I love my TP...Never any problems for me.

Re: *****Anyone Interested in the new Samsung Android coming to Sprint???*****

Im looking at the Hero very closely.... but I will wait till the second gen Android phone hits Sprint; The hero comes with essentially the same hardware as the G1, which is a shame when there is better out there (Iphone3GS and Palm Pre both have better innards)

It's still an Instinct and the first gen Instink left a bad taste. Answer simply is no. If I switch from WebOS it'll be back to WinMo.

Not really, the old instinct & this are 2 different animals, hell the 1st 2 weren't even smartphones.
Plus it has a sliding QWERTY, Its only a instinct in name.

I agree with you about the 1st gen Instinct though but hey, Palm OS (Franken Garnet) left a bad taste in my mouth but : I won't say the Pre is still a Palm of old days. :p
