I have em both (TP and tilt)

The tilt screen is somewhat of a gimmick, it looks "cool" like a little laptop, but I find I hand-hold/thumb type most of the time anyway. No way you can "make" a TP screen tilt, unless you break it

The TP2 indeed does use the tilt style again. Wonder why they didn't use it for the first gen TP?
