Hmmm. Keep Mogul or switch to Pro!
 

Today I visited the Sprint store to find out what the big deal with the Touch Pro. The sales representative was so eager to show me the Pro. When I saw the Pro upclose, I was fascinated with the beauty of the phone and its sleekness. I wanted to know what the phone did that was different from the Mogul. At the beginning, I was excited because of the look and now that I have gotten over the exterior.The sales representative was not that informed and his description was dry. I was shocked because if you are so amp'd to show me something, I would expect you know something about the product. He continued struggling with his presentation of the phone and the description of features. I left the store with a dismal outlook of the phone.

I NEED YOUR HELP. Let me know why I should switch to the Pro, other than the fact that it has a shiny silver trim...lol:)!

A LOT more memory... A lot... Makes a world of difference. VGA screen, looks beautiful. Better camera - some say that matters. And then - its brand new...

Not the greatest Battery Life out of the box (I upgraded to a seidio 2000 mah extended battery and now it lasts more than I need it to)
Less buttons to map stuff to

the touch pro is really nice but i think im gonna keep my mogul for a little while longer...i have a feeling some big changes might happen within the next year or so.

I looked and studied long and hard in the forums, and I'm sticking with the Mogul. Don't want to start the endless tinkering all over again. Some things, like the lack of buttons, simply can't be fixed

For Sprint I would get it. But Im on VZW and we got screwed on our version. However they did just unlock the GPS for VZW users so thats aplus. However, I dont think you can go wrong with the upgrade to the TP on Sprint.

I wanted the Touch Pro since it came to the stores! I still want it! I just have to save a little bit of money first. :( The touch pro as everyone stated above has a better resolution screen (VGA), Way better camera, ( better and pictures and way better videos (super clear)), Looks better, Lots of ram so no where near as much lag and freezes if there are any at all! Overall I think you should get it. It definately an upgrade!

Give things a year and people will be tired of the Touch Pro and will be on to the next best thing that's got even more memory, even faster processor and some new doo-dads and stuff. I've come to the conclusion that there will always be something better that what you have. I say, if you want to try it, go ahead, I wouldn't take it because I'd have to go with the Verizon version and it's too new right now, not enough hacks and too locked down. The only thing that attacts me to the phone is the screen, other than that, I could care less.

There are custom ROMs for it and the GPS is now unlocked. What else do you want?

i will be switching to the vzn TP next month unless something happens between now and then. as much as i like the 6800 it just has to many limitations for me. for instance i cant for the life of me figure out where my memory is going. i have flashed this thing 7 was from sunday and still have mem leaks. even with the crippling vzn has done the TP is still a better phone on there network.

Your decision to switch to the Touch Pro should be based on whether: 1) You want/need to buy a new phone at this time, 2) You want to extend your contract, 3) Whether or not you can wait until a later date.

Honestly, the Pro is NICE! Faster, sexier, and can do (a bit) more than the Mogul. I still have my Mogul, so I sit and compare the two all the time. But if the urgency to feed your upgrade hunger (or funds) isn't there right now, stick with the trusty dusty Mogul. Not to say that the Pro isn't worth it, because I would not change my mind and return it, but I know that waiting to get it would not have killed me since my Mogul is a bomb phone (even with its issues). However, I'm just a simple college student who buys things "just because" and haven't learned the lesson of patience quite yet lol.

*You can always get it and try it out, and if you feel as if there was no point in upgrading, you can return it. (Granted, you have to put up with CS...)*
