Re: Goodbye Mogul
I'd like to move to a newer model, but it takes months for the normal initial release bugs to be fixed. I still get better tethering speeds with my mogul than with the diamond (haven't tried the pro though), so I think I'm going to wait some more before saying good bye.

Re: Goodbye Mogul
It could be the radio hmotwr.

Re: Goodbye Mogul
Please tell me you're not moving on to an iPhone. That'd be like dumping a gorgeous Harvard grad for britney spears.

Re: Goodbye Mogul
lol agreed

Re: Goodbye Mogul
at this point i'm not sure the tp is that much better for me. I was going to sell my titan to my buddy for $100 but, i am keeping it as my 2nd line for now :P
|
Re: Goodbye Mogul
The TP is kinda calling my name too, honestly. The only things that are keeping me from getting one are the ungodly price & the fact that the keyboard slides out the other way. That would drive me NUTS. I am so used to my titan & so OCD that it would bug the hell outta me.

Re: Goodbye Mogul
nooooooooooo please don't go,this is the life son we will meet again but not yet ...not yet ....not yet
gladator |
Re: Goodbye Mogul
since you mention the kb opening the other way, it's worth mentioning that if you aren't careful, when you go to type you can turn off the phone hahaha
they placed the on/off button on the top left of the device. before it used to be on the right side right. Well, while it works well so the case doesn't turn on the phone, now txting could turn it off! arrrrg Quote:

Re: Goodbye Mogul
I'm actually considering leaving the mogul as well...

Re: Goodbye Mogul
I still have my Titan. That device and I went through so much I could never get rid of it. I did go Touch pro, and dont regret it. Switching to a blackberry would be like coming out of the closet :D

I know people love Blackberries cause they "just work" or whatever, but there's a reason you always see airhead celebrities like Britney & Paris with them. They're idiot-proof, and it doesn't require any thinking to operate them. I will never understand the mentality of "This thing is too complicated, gimme a Blackberry!" I guess if you're happy with a phone you can't tweak, can't install stuff on, and can only personalize to a certain degree, a BB is fine, but I'd much rather deal with a few very minor flaws in an awesome device that I can COMPLETELY customize. That's what I love about my Titan(besides that it's named after a moon)- I can do ANYTHING with it. It's a mini-computer. If you just CANNOT make your smartphone work properly, regardless of what kind it is, YOU are doing something wrong. Not trying to be a bee-yotch or anything but if an autistic freak like me(not joking!) can figure these things out, surely you Normies can. End rant. I'll shutup now. |

Re: Goodbye Mogul
yeah typing on that BB storm is really hard.(tried er out at the store) When you touch the screen the whole thing goes down as a button so you feel the click or whatever.. So you almost have to do 1 finger typing, if you try to use 2 fingers you have to go so slow to wait for the screen to pop up from the first letter pressed it makes typing really hard.
I'd go touch pro personally since its very similar to the titan but faster.. BUT as I have a year left on my contract I can hope for something worked FROM the TP but even better. :) |

hahahaha you're cracking me up dude! yah it is non-hetero that they fooked up some things, but it is hetero that they fixed others. It would be good to understand though, that everyone is different. The same argument has been made for many things, especially unix/linux and windows (forget mac lol). Windows are for people who just want things to "work." If you want a crazy system, that does whatever you can imagine, you run unix/linux. It's much harder to learn and much more harder to master. But like our phones Vs. a flip phone, when you max out both there is no comparison. All i'm saying is that there's something for everyone :P :P |
Re: Goodbye Mogul
true, true...
But its still fun to talk the scheize :) |
Re: Goodbye Mogul
oh and funny you should bring up the linux vs. windows thing, I have a friend, a recent ex that I dumped for being an elitist ***-hat, who's calling me a n00b cause I went back to windows after linux. I posted a big rant on my myspace directed at him about why I did it, and I admitted the biggest reason is that im lazy & don't feel like screwing with it all the time to make stuff work. so of course now im no longer 1337. screw him, he smelled anyway. I LIKE linux, I found it very easy to use & was able to pick it up in a day or 2, but I have too many programs that I use that wouldn't run under wine, so I had to go back.
I guess people do have reasons other than stupidity for doing things the easy way, lolz.... |
Re: Goodbye Mogul
Honestly, you can assume all you want, but I am not the source of this handset's problems. It was a rushed, half-***** device from the beginning, running a buggy and out-dated OS. What a great combination.
It's all well and nice that I can customize and program this piece of garbage all I want, but in the end, that's all it is, a flashy piece of ****. I shouldn't have to reset a phone multiple times a day to get it to work. I'm not a fanboy, a Mac guy, or a trend follower. I just expect that when I pay over $300 for something, it should do its f^%&ing job. Perhaps I'm not seeing it in the correct light, whatever. If you like spending your hours trying to get picture mail to work on your 10 pound, brick phone, more power to you. I'm simply fed up with it. I may not get a BB, but if I do, at least I will know that it won't freeze while it charges, that it will actually recognize letters when I type them, that it won't lag when polling the towers so much that I miss calls, etc. etc. Fin. |

Well i agree, and that's why i don't use wine because it fooks up too much. i don't know for certain if it's a good or bad thing, but we really need both! So i'm happy with bsd and xp, works for me! except apple, they copied BSD :P lolllllllll :headbang: |
Re: Goodbye Mogul
Im still with sprint but no one here can deny that mogul RAM is just wayyy to low and TP is better i been with the mogul for almost 2 years and its too slow
Cant Wait To Get It In The Mail In 2 days |

Picture mail has always worked instantly & perfectly for me, I've VERY rarely had a random missed call, and mine has never frozen while charging. In fact, the mogul is one of the most stable & well-designed phones I've ever had. And I've had a LOT of phones, both smart & not. Wierd. The only times I ever have problems is if I install a piece of software that doesn't play nice, and that's not the phone's fault but the developer's. |
