Touch Pro or wait for Tegra?

I just got my Touch 7 months ago and now I'm almost ready to jump to the Touch Pro... there's one thing holding me back though...

the nVidia Tegra

So, do you think it's worth saving the other $150 Upgrade credit I have on a Tegra phone in Q1 2009 or should I just jump on the Touch Pro?

Consider the Tegra, Android, and Windows Mobile 7, all coming around the same time frame and all compelling factors (I think). Tegra's battery life and visuals are just ridiculous, and Android's interface elements are shaping up very nicely. I personally have the same dilemma - got my Touch 6 months ago, but I'm waiting for any of the aforementioned and passing on the Diamond/Raphael.

Spoiler alert! it's GSM. How I wish they make CDMA version. I'll get it anyways whatever it is.

The Tegra is just going to be a chipset available for OEMs as an alternative to Qualcomm and such, so hopefully HTC will pick it up on an Android/WM7 platform.

The chip is a complete system. It's a CPU, a GPU, HD processor and Image processor all in the chip.

Correct, hence calling it a chipset. What it is not is a device. nVidia plans to release the Tegra chipset for use in upcoming Windows Mobile devices as well as possibly Android. With all this new hardware on the way and new OSes like Android and WM7, there is no way I am buying an incremental upgrade like the new Touch, Diamond, etc. devices.

I hate to be a spoiler but I seriously doubt that US carriers will realease a phone with this caliber. That screen is huge. It's atleast 4inches. I don't know any phone manufacturer for the US that makes that screen size. I was estimating the screen size from the youtube videos and besides, The tegra is meant for 4-12 inch devices. I say it will prolly be a MID. A phone? I seriously doubt it. ANd it has to pass FCC and a lot of inspections. Plus, A phone like that in youtube will set us back at least a thousand bucks for it. Just my 2 cents.
