Ya know I have spoke to a mod about this a few days ago and its a know problem to them too. The problem lies in how do you fix it? Take away the right to start a poll? Have it so a mod has to accept or reject every new post? None of them are really answers tho. The answer has to be the person who's posting has to be smart enough/Care enough to know whats up and want to keep this site great....

See man we have to police our selfs and take control of our own site. Like I said I'm not the only one who has thought this the last few weeks.
i completely agree with this. people need to learn to take constructive criticism as constructive criticism. anytime you say anything to anybody they take things personnelly. i have been guilty of it with this particular poster to be exact but if you can be mature enough to say hey they were just trying to help out the forum and go on about your day then you need to leave. also if you blow up at someone for no reasonyou should be man enough to come back later and apologize. also i give respect to rainfreak for coming back later and apologizing. i think we all need chill and think before we post. i do see alot new members coming in and not reading the moderator established read before you post. i am thankful to our moderators because without them sites like these would be unbearable.

Re: Could the release of the Samsung Instinct cause a Cold war amoung users?

I think it's a bit silly to expect tons of advertising for this phone. It doesn't make sense for Sprint to advertise an old phone like the Titan any more. I love my device, it's got everything I want, but I'm not going to pretend it's always going to be cutting-edge, especially with the Touch Pro on the horizon.

If Sprint is looking forward past the Titan, then I don't really see how that affects us. The phone still works, and there is still going to be a ton of community support for it (look at how the 6700 is still going strong).

EXACTLY!! It makes more sense to promote the newer, more advanced stuff, it'd be like sony promoting the ps2 a year into the xbox 360's life cycle, no one wants to hear about the older stuff. The Diamond and Touch Pro will get their fair share of promotion, not just by sprint, but by microsoft and HTC who are desperately out for some iphone blood, and then there's the nvdida Tegra phones, those will really get the publicity as their releases draw near!

Re: Could the release of the Samsung Instinct cause a Cold war amoung users?

I think if Sprint want to stay a contender in the mobile phone market, they need to listen to their customer. Alot of great phones are being released only as GSM versions. Like the Nokia "N" series , Samsung i900, etc... They really need to get on the ball. I don't think they should go GSM, but Hybrid CDMA/GSM is the way to go. They need to really start pressuring companies like Nokia, LG, Samsung, Eten -Acer, etc... to make more phones compatable with Sprint's network.

since every single phone that seems to be worth something is gsm then why doesnt sprint just get boughtout by t-mobile or att and then go gsm and have the latest headsets. I would like to see O2 or Orange or some EU wireless purchase them.

Re: Could the release of the Samsung Instinct cause a Cold war amoung users?

Sorry but this thread seems silly.
The Mogul/Vogue devices are older... Of course Sprint is spending more money on new products. Why spend money on products that probably only have about 3-4 months left.

Cold war among users?? You can't be serious. If people like the Instinct and get it. Good for them. As a Titan user, I am perfectly happy for them.

think of it as the titan/mogul/Windows Mobile Devices as being old money and know how

and

think of the Samsung Instinct being new money (remember the 1920's and old $ vs new $)

or

the Window Mobile Devices as being old farts

and

the Samsung Instinct being the know it all teenagers
sure you can co exist but at times....

No matter how you put it, or think about it, it's just another phone.
I doubt the Instinct will cause even a blip on the Mogul/Vogue radar screen. If it turns out to be very popular.. great. I think Mogul/Vouge users will be totally fine with it.
