Verizon Mogul or Touch

Ok I have a question. I am a qwest user and soon have to switch to Verizon because of the contract thing. Right now I have the qwest mogul and love It., but I don’t like the Verizon mogul. (Personally I think it’s ugly) I did like the touch though. My question is, do you think it is hard to type on the touch? I like to text allot and like having the luxury of the keyboard. Can you guys tell me what you think? Thank you

PS: sorry this is a long one. This is my first post on ppcgeeks

Me too, qwest user. I know nothing of how the Touch works for texting. On my Mogul I have SipChange running so I only have to use the online dial pad when i'm texting with one hand. I would think it would be the same.
Personally, I love having a keyboard. Yeah the Verizon 6800 is not that pretty but how it works on the inside is more important....it has the same innards as the Qwest model and if you're used to that one, you'll need to give yourself a learning curve for the Touch when you get it. It took me about two weeks to get used to the Mogul, even after the 6700. But I really like it too.

BTW I've been hammering Qwest with questions about how this is going to work for us. PM me if you want copies of my most recent convo with them, you can draw your own conclusions.

Hey, thank you for your help.

Yea you’re right about the inside of the phone, but I’m 15 and at school I’m know as the "guy with the cool phones" but I still don't know because I love my keyboard. I send about 3000 to 4000 texts a month and would really miss the keyboard.

The best thing to do is spend some time looking at the touch in the store, and researching keyboards online. Touchpal, rescoe, spb and others offer qwerty keyboards for the touch.

There are a ton of mods for the touch as well.

Re: Verizon Mogul or Touch

The only problem I have with an on screen keyboard is how much space it takes up. I love the fact that when I need the keyboard on my Mogul it just slides out and then slides quietly away with no disturbing of my viewing. It's hard enough to try to type on the little on screen keyboard without making mistakes. That's my $.02.

Btw there is a FAQ update for Qwest now with the verizon thing.

I think this post has it right on the money for differences regardless of carrier.
