back on topic, you have an epic...i'll defend wp7 in this off topic section....lists some pros of the epic...as will i, wp7 (i don't have an arrive...but unlike google, all wp7 phones are running the same os :D!)

Umm...WP7 has too short of a lifespan to claim that its running the same OS..we will see in a year how the updates will roll out...that said I would like to point out that Open Source development is a bit different then closed source...for example, M$ had NoDo update semi ready shortly after the first WP7 phones came out. The NoDo was just limited to their closed developer network.
In open source or Android in particular, the consumer actually can get their hands on the developer phone in question. Thus the developer phone will have an update before everyone else by 3 - 4 months or so until its ready.
As of right now, 90% if not 100% of phones that came out in 2010 have Froyo already. which at this point is the "standard" for Android OS. Many don't realize that in an open source environment criticizing why a phone doesnt have gingerbread already would be equivalent to criticizing M$ for not having Mango on all their phones already. |
