Finally bought an EVO...
 

Longtime TP2 holdout here. NRG's rom's allowed me to squeeze every last drop of performance and customization out of my TP2. I finally bit the bullet and got a white EVO. I had been fighting off the urge for quite some time because I didnt want to migrate to a SERO Premium plan.

I must admit, Android OS has come a long way and its an even better transition than I expected. If anyone is on the fence like I was, I highly recommend it. I wont argue about it being worth the price to go from SERO to SERO Premium, etc. etc. But all I can say is Android has really surpassed my expectations (and I already knew what it could do).

Here is to hoping NRG eventually starts making EVO roms. ;)

Another advertisement for Android...big surprise. You know, cuz this isnt the winmo section or anything lol. Its great ur happy with it, but i doubt anybody really cares and pointless threads just take up server space unnecessarily.

yea seriously we get enough Android news and advertisements on the front page. i wonder what compelled him to do this. he's a regular he should know better, we didn't see aztechka do this when he got his EVIL.

You mean this thread? it was moved..and the author does not sound like a fandroid as he just got it...him posting in that section is another story but understandable...every phone eventually comes to an end and these threads pop up..a year or 2 from now I'm pretty sure I'll be seeing same kind of threads in the Epic section...

My general policy is to let them have a day and then move them..other mods differ but we are definitely on top of things..and as mods we try to be as neutral as possible..( but iphones are evil :/ )

Oh and you know androidgeeks.com is a real site right? lol

Sigh..the reason why you see so much Android is right now a lot of people took on Android as it continued where winmo left off..we welcome all smartphone platforms (Yes unfortunately even iphones :( ) on this site as we view "Pocket PC" as a Computer/PC that fits in a pocket (and yes, tablets fit in pockets too!)..not as "Pocket PC" which is owned by M$...

That said I really would like you to stop advertising other sites..its actually DroidGeeks.com ..no seriously >.> lol

...and...your point is...andriod is better than.....winmo(what the site was named after, or wp7, or blackberry, or iphone..)....most mods, who used to be regular winmo users now dis all people who isn't a fandriod...

I never said anything..I personally am fine with both winmo and Android..but M$ forced me to move on..that said have you ever seen me dis any member? even an iphone member? (iphones are still evil >.>)

As it is Winmo is dead..most of our site makes up Sprint users who at this point have no choice but Android...or be stuck with out dated hardware..we don't even have release dates of WP7..

In the past winmo was our only choice in the US..as other smartphone platforms didn't exist..with the evolution of the site I at least prefer to consider a liberal interpretation of PPC which is Pocket PC aka a computer in my pocket...to be frank I also personally don't consider any locked down platforms such as WP7 or Apple a PPC..BUT if both are jailbroken and full access is available..then I would classify them as a PPC..this is my own personal interpretation so I am not speaking for anyone but myself here..

That said ALL users are treated equally..regardless of what platform or phone they use..even if they don't use a phone (unless they are a spammer then ban stick away)

If you have a problem with how some users are behaving or even a mod..then PM us, a super mod, or an administrator and we will see what we can do to resolve it..I assure you we discuss and evaluate EVERY issue..

Sorry, I just couldnt hold out any longer. And I realize WMC is coming but I expect to see only a few new WP7 phones "actually available" on Sprint in the next 3-5 months. I'm sure there will be a better android based HTC phone in the next year or so. I just couldn't wait anymore.

WM6.x was REALLY showing its age.

I've got WinMo, Android, and WP7 on my phone so Kablizow!

Microsopht put the kibosh on winmo big time. straight up killed it deader than a Sprint Diamond flashed with a GSM unlocker!

sad times for winmo lovers, good thing me and el Doctoro had the good sense to get a phone that can run Android + WP7 as well so we can keep the dream alive!
