I think you may get some biased answers in the EVO forum....especially since you didn't give any information as to what you wanted in a phone.

Epic- better for gaming and will be better if you want a hardware KB. Also, the screen is beautiful.

EVO- better if you are looking for mote community support. There are many roms and mods for the evo and sense in general.

personally I like the feel and form factor of the evo more which us what I have. But, my wife has the epic and it is a very nice phone as well.
