The 3GS can run N64 games on an emulator flawlessly with a wii-remote, I'd like to see the Galaxy do that (not saying it can't, just saying I would like to see it because I will probably get a Vibrant), the iPhone 4 can probably run PS2 or Wii roms.

N64 games should not be a problem as long as it gets a development team to do it...IF anything the architecture of this chip is similar to a dreamcast and no reason that wont run either...PS2 roms should be possible too as PS1 is possible on our 500mhz devices with no graphics chip..Wii Roms may or may not run...the Wii is a little more powerful then the GPU...around 10%..+ the emulation tax...some games may run smoothly some may not...

Also Galaxy S has the Six Axis Motion sensor so it can act as a wii mote as well if needed...pretty much the Galaxy S hardware is almost exactly the same to th iphone 4...with a few extra features like bluetooth 3.0 and DLNA etc...

the 3G 1.6 port is fully functional, but it drains the batter a lot faster than iOS does.

Could you please point me toward any fully functional 1.6 Android port for the 3G? I have searched and try to keep up with planetbeing's progress, but nothing I've tried to date has the external speaker working for music or system sounds. Also, with regard to the 2.2 port, neither wifi or sounds have worked here so far. Any enlightenment would be really appreciated.

Best to all,
R

i just switched to the iphone 4. damn, this is a sweet machine. truly blows away all windows mobile and android phones that I have tested - including the evo. I am a convert, without looking back.

Here is an example of how an experience can very from person to person with devices:

One of our very close AT&T sources just sent us in these images. Yes, it’s a fried iPhone 4. Apparently a customer brought the phone into the store to try and get help with it, although it’s pretty evident that the phone is unrepairable. It’s the first time our guy has seen this happen (us too), but the brand new iPhone 4 caught on fire while being hooked up to a computer using the Apple USB cable that accompanied the device. The customer wanted to exchange the iPhone — obviously — for a new, non-charred unit however the AT&T store in question was out of stock. An Apple Store did confirm to our AT&T connection that this did appear to be a defective USB port and not some sort of user error. Our source went onto say that the phone bezel was extremely hot (obviously), and it slightly burned the customers hand. The USB port in the phone was slightly melted and the cord was badly melted (as is apparent in the pictures)

All though I am very happy with my iPhone 4, if that happened to me, I would be looking to sue the crap out of apple. Imagine if he had plugged that into his computer downstairs and then went upstairs to go to sleep. This could have ended fatally. I will keep an eye on mine when using the USB to charge, but I will be very interested to see if this was a one off or if it happens to more people. After the problems some people have been having, if this problem starts occurring to more people, I would have to believe that a recall would be coming real quick.
