my new Incredible is on the way!! I know some of you guys who like to hack these phones love them but I have never had such a piece of junk!!!! 4 phone and now I need a 5th. I updated the new rom and now programs stack up, the BT only works when it wants and there is no way to close programs!!

I went in and searched for this website on both an inc. and my tp2 and it had results on the inc. before the program even opened on the tp2!!

don't take this the wrong way, but comparing winmo and android, from an OS perspective and not even a performance perspective is like comparing apples and oranges.

From a performance aspect, your comparing a 1Ghz processing machine, versus a 528Mhz processing machine, its almost half what the incredible is from a processing standpoint

yep and I have been trying to get it to work from day 1. True, the phone is probably not broke, it is programing and I amm not willing to invest my time or money on something that should work. I have had battery issue, lock up issues, dead phone from verizon issues and now my latest is a phone that starts programs all by itself and is so sketchy on it's bluetooth you never know if it is going to work or not. Also, it has to be reset once a day because it won't wake up!

I know all you diehards with the latest super duper cooked up roms love this thing, but I just want a phone I can surf the web answer texts use some cool apps and hook to my motorcycle bluetooth and have the darn thing work!!!

call me a whiner a cry baby or whatever this phone has been a complete pain!!! Oh yeah, bringing up a post from months ago when I was trying to get some help and respect of people here is nice.

hopefully lol, if not, it will add to our current ruckus of people not liking the tp2 because they are comparing to a 1Ghz device or simply have no idea on how to use it.

lol. once you get a refurb all bets are off.
tp2s are very solid out of the box but if you break it and get a refurb you will be sucked into an endless cycle of returning phones thinking the next one will be better.

this is not the fault of wm or htc or even sprint. its OUR fault for sending thousands of phones to sprint thinking we will get a "like new" replacement for free when we f'ed it up somehow.

I think a lot of it comes from envy over the drastically better powered devices coming out, but a lot of it comes from the giant flaws in Windows Mobile that we have learned to live with. Once you see how flawlessly the new phones run, it gets a little harder to keep looking at your device which has an OS completely designed to not be finger friendly and later patched with 6.5 just so that Microsoft could release SOMETHING to keep people going until WP7 dropped. The TP2 is a great phone and windows mobile was a great OS. Both have been passed now though, so people are starting to notice their devices are no longer tha latest and greatest.

Ya know, I have gotten about three times the responses bashin me for leaving this phone than I ever got good answers to any of my problems. Oh well guess us dumb floks will just have to keep busy fixin your cars and keeping heat in your houses

How do you fix a car? You have to be told what is wrong with it, especially over the internet where you can't diagnosis yourself.
If you come on here with specific complaints, most times we can offer a solution. Whether you like that solution or not is up to you. And yes with WinMo sometimes the best solution to have a well running phone is to flash a custom ROM.
You'll have to excuse the heavy dose of sarcasm on here. But if you look at some of the thread topics and discussions lately, it's been a full barrage of "My TP2 sucks".
and fyi, I tweak the hell out of my grand prix too.

and I went back and looked at your threads and pretty much everyone of them, people tried to help you. We hope you have better luck with the incredible.

Lol. Just shutup and realize its a phone. A majority of the people complaining about their phones on this forum are the same idiots who do ZERO searching and ZERO self help. I guarantee that the solution to ANY problem you had with the phone could be found by me within a single minute by searching. Sadly, instead of just locking the threads of these morons who continue to post thread after thread whining about the same problems, PPCgeeks allows the same questions to get asked multiple dozens of times, which only makes it harder for those of us who go out and search for solutions to problems in the future. We have to wade through all of the useless threads.

You are going to have problems on android if you need other people to walk you through this whole smartphone thing while holding your hand. Some things are intuitive on Android, and some are not. It will take searching to figure out what you are doing sometimes. I know, scary.

so you think us electronic geeks can't hang with hands on? well by day i am a mechanical engineer who designs the things you work on,...and i love my phones.

if you make a post complaining about a phone in the said phones forum, expect a little bashing. i had the tp2 myself and moved on to the incredible. however in most ways i miss my tp2, i miss customizing and flashing roms. the incredible is nice and all but i can't compare it to the tp2. to me they were totally different phones. wish i had just kept the tp2 as well.

maybe get your incredible and hold on to your tp2, you'd be very surprised at what it is capable of if you took the time to learn the ways of winmo....if you can fix a car, you can fix winmo, haha, well maybe not a 1:1...

Why do you have to bash the guy maybe he got a few lemons in a row, I myself made the switch to the 1ghz android not because I didn't like the TP2 I had a great run with mine and enjoyed it but the hardware isnt top tier and I wanna try something thats "latest & greatest" Enjoy your android I am going too...

The guy expressed his personal feelings on his phone, why do you have to bash honestly? He's probably frustrated beyond all hell with the damn phone give him a break don't attack his intelligence over the use of a cellular phone.. thats pathetic how about you talk to him about something he's very keen in and then he can bash the living $hit out of you about it and call you an idiot... Some of us on here don't live and breathe our cellular phone and all the wikipedia terms for it we try to give a little and take a little from the community, maybe some people don't offer the same amount of "phone knowledge" as others but we are all here for the same thing.. To make our phones run to the fullest potential....

after looking over his posts, his problems were the original verizon 6.5 update. Not sure why he never tried a custom ROM or going back to 6.1. He decided to stick with a buggy verizon 6.5 and just got new phones everytime he wasn't happy with it. I bet everyone of his send ins were functional phones.

How can you say its him? Maybe its possible people learn things differently?? Some people can't read things and apply it in their brain.. I deal with that on a daily basis working with apprentices in the trade I'm in.. I don't be-little a guy and call him an idiot because he can't understand something on paper, I'll take the time and show him hands on.. Thats the down fall of the internet, youtube helps some though...

Yeah kinda huh. It is dirt and snow. My truck is kinda specially designed for hauling multiple snowmobiles in the winter and quads in the summer.
BTW, my phone has gotten better but not nearly good enough to want me to cancel my order for my droid. I just don't want to spend ant time on a dying system that MS and HTC won't fix right.
