Palm OS or webOS on Treo Pro

I was wondering if there will ever be Palm OS or webOS on the Treo Pro? Because that would be like so kewl. Or what if we can like, take the ROM from the Treo 755p?

EDIT: Nevermind about the 755p, I just realized that it doesn't have the Wi-Fi capability.

This is highly unlikely, the Pre and up coming Pixi both have capacitive touch screens, along with a lot more pixels (different aspect ratio). Even if we CAN port it over, the graphics are likely to be messed up, as well as harder to use due to the square screen, and imagine the problems with program rendering! With WM6 we are already having problems rendering some programs, on WebOS... that would suck. But yea, if it happens, YAY!, if it doesn't I don't blame anyone for that... WebOS was never made for this device anyway. WM6 is good enough... for now.

What about Palm OS?

PalmOS would not be a good idea either. The OS was only designed with 2 radios in mind(the TX had Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the treo line had cellular and bluetooth). The phone ap was a bolt on from the OS they had for 13 years. It may seem cool, but half the problems people had with their palmOS treos was that the OS wasn't designed to handle Phone, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.

Is there like a source of the webOS we can download to mess with?

It's not going to happen. There is work on the android port, but there will never be a palm OS or webos port for this phone, and nobody is working on one.

Also, the screen resolution is the very last of the problems with porting, never to mind the CPU architectures, memory architectures, the closed-source software...

Running Palm OS on Windows Mobile is already possible with Styletap. Web OS does have have the differences of multitouch (altho resistive touchscreen technically do support it). Web OS is probably not gonna happen-and never well.

I know, I have it on my phone, but I mean the actual OS.

You can run practically any PalmOS app already if u have styletap. are you talking about replacing the Microsoft OS with Palm's old one? I'm pretty sure nobody with the tech know-how is remotely interested in moving backwards technologically.
