How can I save my contacts from being deleted.
If I detach the device from an exchange server. I know if I go into Active Synch\Menu\options and delete the exchange server I'll lose my local contacts. How can I get around that?
Thanks. |

Would that be personal databases in the backup data selection? Are outlook contacts stored the same way as the phone contacts?

I must admit I am not that up to date when it comes to exchange server OR the outcome when you detach your device. But I have change Cell Phones, and lost my Outlook to Active Sync, and was able to restore the contacts, calendar appointments, text, photos, and other information http://myphone.microsoft.com/mkweb/S...1033&mkt=en-US Hope this Helps, |

Look like my phone won't work either.
If you have an active connection with Microsoft Exchange server (which is frequently used for corporate e-mail), My Phone will not synchronize your contacts, calendar appointments, or tasks. |

Might Dashwire work for you?

I thought dashwire was going to work but when I deleted my exchange info from active synch I saw the contacts at dashwire start dropping off. A nice site though.

Re: How can I save my contacts from being deleted.
Dashwire actually did end up working after a workaround. I connected to exchange and got all my contacts, synched with dashwire, unistalled dashwire, delete my exchange connection, reinstalled dash and it then asked me which contacts to sycnh and I chose the ones stored on dashwire. Thanks a bunch Geekcop.
