Force 1x over EVDO?
 
On my Diamond I am able to force it to be in 1X instead of jumping back and forth to evdo with 0-1 bar. Can I do this with the treo pro? I've searched but haven't found anything.

Nevermind, I ended up using a cab from my diamond to get the mode of operation menu up.

Navigate to reg key HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\HiddenModeOperation Page
Change value of "1" to "0"

Now you can go to start/settings/ Phone/Services scroll down to Mode of Operation select then hit Get Settings.

Funny, this made a huge diff with my diamond but with the treo pro not so much. I'll give it a few more days.

Treo Pro battery is far superior lifewise than the Touch Pro battery!! I think if you text a lot you will really notice the difference of this tweak.

Just for an FYI, If you go the other way and force EVDO, you disable the ability to receive text messages.

Just in case some of you are not comfortable making changes to the registry. I have created a cab file that will make the change for you.

will this effect anything like what the other person, where i cant receive text messages?
